Landscaping, Decorative Concrete Service + 1 more
The guys worked like a fine oiled machine. The coordination between the waterfall group and the concrete team was flawless. They had to remove existing landscaping, some fencing to get the ditch witch into the yard, moved a considerable amount of dirt from the excavated sunroom foundation, haul in boulders and rock for the waterfall, all with relatively little damage to the existing space. The guys cleaned up after themselves. Cliff constantly kept me informed of what was coming up next so we always knew where things were at and allowed to give input into the process. In all honestly, I wasn't much help. After Cliff's drawing i gave him and the guys free reign knowing they had the vision and expertise. It's beautiful and has been a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Best Lawns for your landscaping.

Landscaping, Lawn Service
UPDATE July 2011
Mr. Poling resumed contact in June 2011. He agreed to fix everything, including ripping out and repouring the concrete patio, stepping stones, and firepit. He stripped and re-stained the deck. He re-sodded the dead areas from the chemicals. He replaced the plants that didn't survive. And, he even re-mulched the entire backyard. It looks amazing. The overall plan is perfect for my backyard. I really looks fabulous. Although it was a long year of frustration to get to this point, it looks great. And I appreciate Mr. Poling returning this summer to fix EVERYTHING in a very timely manner.
It has been over a year since Best Lawn started a very expensive landscaping project in my back yard, and it still remains unfinished. Stupidly, I paid him early when he assured me that "everything will be done tomorrow." That was May 2010. After numerous failed attempts to resolve this using kindness, patience, trust, and reason (I know, again stupid), I finally reported him to the BBB after 10 months. He assured the BBB that he would have everything finished by April 2011 but that time has come and passed, and I never heard from him again. It is really disheartening. I have never filed a complaint against a company, but this was egregiously bad service and bad business. It really has been unbelievable. Not only did he not finish, but the owner seems to not know what his crews have done or not done, so he will tell you they did something when they didn’t. Then you have to debate him about it. I finally took pictures and filed with BBB and Angie's List. The quality of the work that was done is poor-- the concrete has multiple cracks and countless divits, the sealer has ugly drips down the sides and steps, the sealant bubbled extensively multiple times and never was completely fixed, the deck was only sealed once so it was all scratched up and worn through after a few months. It looks terrible and I am sure I will have to pay someone else to come fix it all, should I ever need to sell my home. Do not use this company under any circumstances.
