The orginal install the workers wanted to place pieces of stone on the surface. We stopped them and asked for a single slab as the landing stone. While this resulted in initial confusion the situation was resolve quickly when we spoke to the owner. He understood our concern and adjusted the plan to meet our expectations. While that delayed the install about one week the results were better than we could have imagined.

Bid was very reasonable. It was the best of 3 we received from various masons or tile installers. On the job exactly as agreed. Cleaned area when done.. We would hire them again. Beautiful craftsmanship! We have a stunning new fireplace.
