BACKLUND PLUMBING

I called to ask about having someone install a new kitchen faucet for me - not an urgent matter. Someone was at my house within an hour. It ended up being a difficult job but the service technician did a great job. I would recommend Backlund Plumbing to others.

He was on time. He did a good job. He used a snake to unclog the drain.

The experience was very professional and friendly.

Tuesday they came out and fixed the leak under the sink and the leak in the basement, also extending from the sink. Wednesday they brought out their truck and cleaned the roots out of our sewer drain. Couldn't have gone better from our perespective! Thanks Guys!

When I called Backlund, they were so pleasant and helpful - they even offered to have someone come out the same day, but I had another appointment, so they set up an appointment for the next morning. Erik came out and was right on time. He was extremely professional, very pleasant, and knowledgeable, and even taught me some basic things about plumbing! No sales pressure, just fixed all of the issues at a very reasonable cost! I would highly recommend Backlund plumbing, and will use them for all of our future plumbing needs. I will also ask for Erik in the future!

Experienced toliet flushing problems. Called firm, responded within 8 hours, examined and located system problem, provided recommendations and expense estimates. Necessitated subsequent repair of identified problem.

The appointment was set for 10am to noon. The service tech arrived at 10am. He removed his shoes immediately upon walking into my home. Loved that! I showed him the shut off valve in the laundry room. It took less than 45 minutes for him to replace the broken valve with a new one. He explained why the valve failed and how to avoid that happening in the future. Very courteous young man.

Repair went well. Only problem was the 2-day wait until they had a plumber available during my 3-hr shift break when I would be home.

I called Backlund's emergency number at 6:30 in the morning, when we discovered the leak in our water heater. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful, and he was able to rearrange some schedules, so that by 8:00, we had a plumber out to take a look at the heater. He did everything he could to make sure that the tank needed to be replaced, and couldn't simply be repaired. Once we determined that a new tank was needed, he got on the phone right away and had a replacement delivered to the house. Our plumber was very polite, and was great with my 18-month-old daughter, who is very curious about everything! The workmen put down sheets to make sure that nothing was tracked up and down the stairs as they moved the old tank out and brought the new one in. They also wore boot covers to keep our floors clean while they were in the house, and our primary plumber even asked me if I had any brooms, and then proceeded to clean up the mess from the leak! I was very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the Backlund plumbers, and I was certainly call them again for any other plumbing problems we might encounter!

In the process of replacing a toilet, we realized that the old closet flange was in bad shape. The plumber showed up on time and confirmed that the flange needed to be replaced. In the process of installing the flange, some molten lead dripped on the floor. He was very apologetic about the mishap and said that we would be contacted about compensation. He got the toilet installed along with a new shut off valve. We weren't charged anything at the time. Later we were contacted by someone at a flooring company contracted by Backlund to look at the damage. They came out and estimated how much it would cost to replace the floor in the bathroom. We decided it wasn't worth it so Backlund agreed to just waive the fee for the work. A couple weeks later we had them back out to replace a second toilet. Did a great job. We were very happy with both plumbers. Accidents happen and we were very satisfied with how they handled it.

Gave us a rough estimate over the phone for replacing our 12 year old water heater that was leaking gas when the burner was not activated. The estimate was within $12 of the actual cost. They replaced the water heater with a State Select with a 6 year warranty. They came within the time frame they said they would. They were quick and efficient. Very happy with the quality of of service and the price. We will call Backlund again for our next plumbing issue.

I called Backlund Plumbing on Thursday and was told they were taking appointments for Friday. At first I was given a time of between 10 am and noon. I told them that I had to go to work shortly after noon, so they were able to do some switching around and made the appointment for 8am the next day, Friday. The gentleman was at our door at 8 am and proceeded to check out the problems, fixed them, presented us with the bill, giving us a senior discount. He was very polite and wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with his work.

For a few days our water heater was leaking slightly on top. Finally, on 19 December, it gave up the ghost. The burner and pilot light went out and they wouldn't turn back on no matter what I did. We have two little ones at home so we definitely needed hot water. I called Backlund Plumbing the morning of the 20th and explained my situation to the nice lady I was talking to. She said somebody would be coming over later that morning to assess the situation. About an hour later, I get a call from one of their technicians. I explained to him the situation and asked him if he could, at the very least, get the burner lit so we could have hot water for the kids. He told me he would go to my house to try turning on the burner for us to have hot water and he would also assess our water heater. After arriving at our house and looking at our water heater, he explained the situation to my wife and called me to thoroughly explain it to me since I was at work. In essence, the unit was dead on arrival and replacing it was the only option. The technician told me he would call another crew to bring a new 50-gallon water heater to the house while he prepared some things for their arrival. The other crew arrived with the new water in quick fashion and they proceeded to install the new unit. They had it up and running in no time. The crew did such a wonderful job to the point where there used to be a nagging odor in the room containing the water heater but that is no longer the case. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Reason for giving Backlund Plumbing a "B" instead of "A' on Price: When I talked to the technician, I told him I found them on Angie's List and chose them due to the high marks and reviews they received from previous customers. I further informed him Backlund Plumbing had a 5% discount coupon for Angie's List members I would like to redeem. When I got home and my wife showed me the invoice, I saw the technician didn't apply the 5% Angie's List member discount. I was pretty bummed about that. Who couldn't use $75+ in their pocket? Especially, around the holidays. Other than that, they did a great job. UPDATE: A few weeks ago, I received a very nice letter in the mail from Backlund Plumbing. They apologized for missing the 5% discount and included a check in the envelope to cover it. I am thoroughly impressed with their customer service and I'm bumping the Price rating from a "B" to an "A".

I had a great experience with them. They showed up when they said they would, completed the repairs/replacement in a timely manner and were courteous throughout the experience.

Excellent service. Professional and tidy - couldn't tell anyone had been there, except that the toilet now works perfectly.

HE CAME IN WITH THE NEW WATER HEATER, HE THEN TOOK OUT THE OLD ONE AND SET IT ASIDE. HE REINSTALLED THE NEW WATER HEATER AND SHOWED ME HOW TO USE IT. HE WAS HELPFUL AND VERY PRECISE. I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN WHEN I NEED HELP! HE ALSO HAULED AWAY THE OLD WATER HEATER.

I called mid afternoon and they scheduled to have someone over to repair shower faucett within 24 hours. The plumber called prior to coming over, looked over the problem, estimated how much it would cost, and the work within 2.5 hours. He did aan outstanding job, I am very happy with the results. It was done within the amount of the estimated cost.

Excellent experience. Call made on Thursday to request service which was set up for 9-10 Am Friday. The plumber, Scott, showed up on time and was prepared to complete the task. The old water heater was removed, the new water heater installed and the work completed in less than 2 hours. When the old water heater was removed, Scott cleaned the area aroumd where it had been. I have to say that I was completely satisfied with this service... The price was very good, the service was performed on-time and professionally. I would highly recommend Backlund Plumbing.

We were able to get an appointment rather quickly. They were on time when scheduled. They made recommendations without being high pressure. They returned when the parts arrived and installed the toilets quickly and professionally. Throughout the process they were professional and helpful. Their price was fair. We would definitely use again.

Drain man got a little blocked up and showed up about a half hour later than appointment. He came and found one of the pipes corroded at a trap. Cut that off and put in a new compression fitting. Cleared drain. One note, the guy who fixes drains is not a full plumber. He does only drains. If you need a plumber you need a different person. Faucet will need a different person.

We had a leak in our basement ceiling. Scott quickly assessed it to be the upstairs toilet. The toilet had not been installed properly. I had him redo the seal in our other bathroom as it was installed by the same person. Scott was very pleasant, efficient and very neat and clean. We already recommended him to a friend. Great job!

His estimate was twice the amount of others. He was very professional though.

First, Backlund Plumbing has emergency services after 6 pm, so my recommendation is that they be scheduled during the week. However, they were good about coming out a little after 5 and the serviceman showed up a little early and did not mind waiting till I showed 10 mins later. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the way the plumber happily walked me through the process, gave me useful and unprompted information and was altogether pleasant and knowledgeable. The quality of the service was good and, while a scoping is not a major effort, friends of mine also agree they are the best around. Certainly, from talking with the guy who came out, I would be very willing to call them for any other problems I have. As for the actual scoping, they scoped the line, showed me the video while explaining what we were seeing, and copied the video to one of our computers so that we had a copy of the scoping for future use.
