BACKLUND PLUMBING

We trusted backlund to ensure the lift station in our house was functioning properly and in good condition before agreeing to purchase our house. $1200 later someone named Jake said it was good to go. So we agreed with the purchase of the house. A month later it stopped working and our laundry room flooded. When we called backlund they said Jake no longer works there and sent someone else out. They took one look at the lift station and said it was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced. BACKLUND FAILED TO DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION BEFORE WE PURCHASED OUR HOUSE. They did a patch up job so it seemed to function for the sale. Given we can not afford a new 5k lift station we asked if they would patch it up again. They got some new parts re used some old parts of another lift station and billed us $1200. So now we are $2400 in to what should have just been 5k in the first place. They should have replaced it initially because now when everything is said and done we will have nearly $7500 invested in this lift station instead of what should have just been 5k to begin with. The parts they purchased will just be replaced because everything would come with the new lift station. On top of that we were billed 6 hours for an electrician who missed a rusted out pipe that connects the lift station from inside to outside. If you spend 6 hours trying to figure out why something does not work you think they would actually examine what they are trying to fix. Unbelievable. We are taking our issue to the better business bureau.

Scott the drain tech was outstanding! He got my kitchen sink and toilet working again in a timely fashion. He also answered many plumbing questions for me about my house in general. Will call In-Law Plumbing next time I need a plumber.

Joe arrived within the agreed upon time window after calling me to confirm he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed the plugged toilet and used a toilet auger to clear it, diagnosed the noisy hall toilet and replaced a part inside the water tank and concluded the garbage disposal needed to be replaced because that is where the leak is. No high pressure when I decided to wait to replace that. The leak is tolerable for now.

Went well in and out in about 45 mins.

I called after hours to fix a leaking pipe in my basement and the plumber, Cody, did an excellent job. He was initially supposed to come over around 10pm, but he called around 8 or so letting me know he could stop by earlier. He showed up, was very personable and professional and got the leak taken care of. He also answered any question I had, and he took the time to show me where and why the pipe had failed. Hopefully I don't have any plumbing issues in the future, but I'd definitely call him again! (Cost of repairs reflects after-hours pricing).

Repaired quickly and neatly.

Went great. Removed old water heater, installed new heater. Took about 3 hours. As always, Backlund does a great job (the fourth timeI have used them)

George, the plumber from Backlund, found the problem quickly. The leak wasn’t from the plumbing but from a cracked washer on one of the washing machine’s supply hoses.

Backlund did a great job. I had them replace the pipes in our basement to increase our water pressure, which worked! Also replaced the water heater. Very happy with their service.

This is a mixed review in one sense - but I grade them high because of their response. A technician came out earlier in the week but could not go up on the roof because it was frosty. So in talking with the technician we agreed he would come back Friday afternoon (we were traveling back from out of town). But then on Friday, there had been a miscommunication between the technician and their dispatch. They showed up at 8AM -- of course we weren't there. In talking with dispatch, they said they would have to come back on Monday. I was pretty hot and told them that was not acceptable - I wasn't going to take more vacation time and I would find a different plumber. At that point their dispatch responded very positively - working to figure out a way to get someone over Friday afternoon - which they did. While their mistake created the problem - they owned it and followed up well. That's something that doesn't always happen in the business world - so I really appreciated that.

Individual was very professional. Very friendly. Very happy with the service.

Professionalism. They tell you what is wrong. They communicate on what is wrong. They are just good. My first impression of is I liked them.

Communications. They communicate what they are going to do, what is going on. They tell you what you are going to need. Why that is happening. The whole bit. So, communicating the problem. Its great when you don't have companies stalking you. Sometimes you have them with your name and number on your check. You have weirdos.

They offer like the maintenance package, but they don't push it on you. I hate pushy people. They have the maintenance package, and they don't push it on you. They leave you their card, their number, their name. You have the whole sheet with their number on there. You don't have to wonder what guy you got. Its a good thing.

They get the job done. The work takes a couple hours to complete. Sometimes I tell them to go away, and I will clean it up.If they do clean it up, they do a great job.
