Repairman spent a fair amount of time checking different parts and found a lot wrong. He said it would not be worth it to repair. I appreciate his honesty and courtesy. I was charged a service call, of course, but I'm glad he didn't repair the knob part knowing so much else was wrong.

They showed up for a few minutes to determine the cause as needing a new igniter. We were okay paying the upfront charge since our thought was to fix the stove and it was going to roll into the overall cost. We decided to go with an outright new purchase and therefore felt we should get the upfront fee waived (even if we knew about it) given our previous business AND future business to come. We called and politely asked to waive this fee and were treated as if we didn't understand the upfront fee. That is fine, we did - we simple wanted some flexibility in that policy to keep us a customer. You can keep your ~$80 upfront fee, but will lose what will amount to hundreds of dollars of future revenue as well as ANY referrals coming from us. Good business practices would include flexibility.

It was fine. They were pretty punctual. I might look elsewhere for a different price in the future, but I possibly may use them. They were responsive and able to help me so that was good. Their price seems a little high, but I guess that is the price of what I needed.

The dryer had been smelling like something was burning. I had another provider out the day before to clean the air ducts and dryer vent. Zach opened up the dryer and found a lot of lint build up leading to the dryer blower fan. Zach inspected the dryer and cleaned vacuumed out the inside of the dryer. With the combination of the dryer vent being cleaned and the work Zach performed the dryer is working like new. Zach also checked out my dishwasher that I had serviced by another provider in November. There was a problem with the automatic detergent dispenser not working. Zach cleaned out the unit and then ran some water and vinegar through it and then suggested an excellent alternative detergent that would work better. The dishwasher is now getting the dishes clean again.
