One suggestion: if you walk in, go early in the morning when they open at 8 a.m.
My car was towed to All Pro by AAA Auto Club after it stalled on the freeway, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. I visited with Keith P. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at All Pro, telling him how the car would stall and not start right back up. After inspecting the car, Keith called me on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012. He told me the car needed a tune up. I asked if that was all and he said, yes. I said, ok, do the tune up. The evening of Nov. 21, 2012, I picked up my car from All Pro and paid $191.98 for the repair. After leaving All Pro with my car, about 5 miles away, my car stalled on the freeway, again. I sat for at least 20 minutes before I got the car off the freeway and onto the 24th Street exit where it stalled, again. I called AAA Motor Club. They took information and dispatched a tow truck. As I waited, I kept trying to start the car because it was showing all signs of the same problem and I just paid for to have repaired. Again, after about 20 minutes I was able to get it started, call AAA back to cancel, and was able to start and drive the car out of traffic to a gas station about 2 blocks away. Then I was very lucky to get home driving the car.
All Pro was closed Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Friday morning, Nov. 23, 2012, about 8 a m, I called Keith and told him the car was still stalling as it was when it was towed in from the freeway and, again, after leaving his business. He said it could be bad gas; that he had repaired two cars in a week that had used bad gas. He had told me that it could be bad gas on Monday, before it stalled on the freeway and was towed there on Tuesday. His suggestion was to use the unleaded without ethanol gas and if it continued come back and he would do a fuel sample. I couldn’t see the back and forth when I have already paid $191.98. I took the car to Mand M Auto Repair service. From the Mand M shop I called All Pro and told Keith P. what Melvin said he found, then put Melvin on the phone to explain in mechanic termsthe problem. When I took back the phone, I asked Keith would he refund the money for the repair he made because the repair did not correct the problem and the real cause would had to be fixed immediately. He adamantly refused to reverse the charge or disuss any adjustment. The right repair cost me $97.18.
