In February 2014, we made initial contact with them. It was determined they would come back in April 2014 to sign a contract for the work to be done. We were approved for financing and they were to show sometime in July. Once we gave them our down payment in June, we did not hear from them again until we initiated contact (August 2014). At that time, they gave us an estimated date of September for the work to begin. We anticipated an entire crew to do the work but only one person showed up. My husband had to take four additional days off of work so that someone would be present at the home. It was a mess from the beginning. They ordered the incorrect windows, incorrect sliding glass door, they were not showing up to the job site on time, leaving early, not showing up at all, and discussing partying the night before. The workmanship and craftmanship was very poor. In our original contract, they agreed to install additional exterior doors that we did not purchase through them. When it came time to install those doors, they approached us and wanted money up front to install the doors. I informed them that was not in the contract and he tried to make a side deal with me to pay him in cash. They refused to install the doors although it was in the original contract. After a huge dispute, they eventually installed the doors at no additional charge. All of the downspouts were installed incorrectly and they had to call another company to install elbows which did not match the rest of the guttering. They were to install two downspouts but only put in one and claimed we didn't need the other. The other company had to install the other gutter because the one by itself was not effective. After they had finished the job (April 2015), we received a call from one of the subcontractors who apparently had a dispute with the company and was no longer working with Nebraska Home Improvement Center. Our windows and sliding glass doors came from another botched job they did although they were supposed to be custom-made for our home. We then called the owner and I asked for a purchase order of the incorrect windows. They could only produce the original purchase order. I refused to accept what they provided. He offered to replace the sliding glass door since we had problems with it all along. He agreed to do that but we never heard from him again. We finally spoke with them October 2015 after we initiated contact to see when they would be out and at that time they made an appointment for 12/8/2015. They drove 8 hours to get here with the incorrect materials. Since then, we have not been able to resolve the issue and they are now refusing to take our phone calls or respond to our emails. I finally got a hold of them and they told me not to call back. All I wanted was information on how to find the parts I ordered.
