This General contractor was hired to install a new roof on my home. He would show up at approx 8am in the morning and be gone by noon. Two nights he left my roof with just plywood. nothing to cover it and protect it. We called him about this as it was supposed to rain and he said it would be fine. It wasn't fine it did rain and it was pouring rain inside my house. The rain go into my house 3 times, doing over $10,000 worth of damage to the interior of my home. He told me I could not blame him for this because mother nature caused that. His insurance only paid us less than $3000 for the damages so most of the cost to repair my home from the damages came out of my own pocket. I asked him before he even began to please not let my dogs out of the back yard as they would be killed by the town police. Twice he just opened the gate and let them run and we had to catch them. I was home when he did this and I had informed him he should let me know when he needed in the back yard so I could bring the dogs in the house. He did not let me know. When the job was finally done he left and we had to contact him again to replace the gutter he took off the house and clean up the nails around our house that he said he would clean up. The gutter is not installed correctly and is falling off my house and he allowed his 6 year old daughter to use the magnet to pick up nails. I was watching and she was having more fun swinging the magnet around her head than picking up nails. I saw only one nail on the magnet the entire time. My daughter picked up 68 nails in a 3x3 area just the other day and there are hundreds more. I told him a neighbor girl stepped on one of the nails and he replied with a laugh and said he had also stepped on one. I was paying him to do the job and clean it up. The neighbor girl was not being paid to take the risk of injury. It has been a year and we still cannot walk in our yard without shoes because we are picking up nails in our yard. I will never hire this man again. He was very unprofessional and had no respect for me or my property. My landscaping took alot of abuse from him also. He also was very egotistical and would not listen to what I wanted for roofing and would only deal with my ex husband who didn't even live here at the time. This is my house and my choice but he would not deal with me. Beware of this horrible contractor...he is the worst I have ever encountered.
