Vicharra Auto Repair

We have used Vicharra Auto several times over the past 13 years depending on our needs. From having a rebuilt engine installed in my Ford Escort to purchasing a Ford Explorer from his lot, Isaac and his staff have always been nothing but honest and professional. Will continue to go back for service!?

So disappointed in their work and their work ethic. At first I was happy with the price and speedy service I received. But within days of getting my car repaired in their shop, the heater stopped blowing hot air, instead was actually blowing very cold air. Then just a few days later, my car began to over heat. When I called them about it, the said that I would need to have my coils cleaned and my radiator flushed for an additional $170. I expressed that I didn't really feel that was the problem so I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. Only to discover that that Vicharra's automotive did not replace or refill my antifreeze after they had changed my timing chain and replaced my water pump. So he wanted to charge me $170 for a small little fix that was due to his negligence in the first place. This could have been a lot worse than what it was! But then only 2 days later, the bolt breaks in my tension assembly that holds my serpentine belt on. I was just going to have my neighbor replace my belt because at first that is all i thought was wrong. But when he went to change it, he found that the bolt was broke and the other ones were loose. When I reached out to Vicharras automotive yet once again about an issue that I believe he created, he suggested I have my car towed to his shop and he would take a look. He told me that it is common in Hondas for the bolts to break frequently in those assemblies. I asked how that was possible if they had just removed that assembly to complete the previous work. So when I called around to 3 other mechanic shops to verify if this is correct (including Honda of Lincoln) they said that they have never seen a bolt in the assembly break for no reason. In fact the only time that they have seen it break is when it has been over tightened or threaded wrong and forced into position. They all agreed that this would be a result of him replacing the tensioner after repairing my timing belt. He disagreed and still wanted me to pay almost $400 to repair the assembly and replace the serpentine belt that was almost brand new. I refused and instead how my car towed to a different shop where I have to pay an honest mechanic the fees to repair something that should not have been an issue in the first place.

Anything that is wrong with our Volvo or Accura I take to him. He is licensed to buy parts from luxury car dealers. He does great work, and has always taken care of us very well. The waiting room feels more like a mom and pop shop than a car dealer. He has been in business a long time and does great work overall.

They perform anything I might require them to. They are reasonably priced. They are more than capable of getting my car in and out the same day or of not the next day depending if they can get the parts right away. They take a maximum of three days for any major repairs. Their garage is not as clean as some but it still works for me. I would use them again in the future.
