They were charging more than five times the going rate for the procedure. Even though I refused, it they still billed me for the consultation even though I was only in there a few minutes. That consultation (with no treatment) cost more than having the procedure done at another animal clinic a few blocks away.

I'll comment more about our relationship with Williamsburg over the 12 years as they are a veterinary practice we quickly grew to trust. We inially went to another vet that was recommended to us. But as Sophie developed some back problems, they weren't at all helpful. Our first visit to Williamsburg was a stressful one as she was having a great deal of trouble walking. They arranged for us to visit the veterinary hospital at Kansas State, thoroughly explained everything and reassured us that she would get the best care. As it turned out, no sugary needed - we could manage with medication and that began our 12 year relationship with Williamsburg.
Through those 12 years and multiple problems from Sophie getting eating 11 pieces of my nephew's beef jerky, to her restlessness every winter when she began picking and nibbling on her paw, they taught us how to be good dog owners, were proactive in caring for Sophie and were always available for questions. Sophie was our first dog so we had a lot of them.
I would recommend Dr. Cosgrove and his team without hesitation. The provided excellent care, were patient with us, and were always compassionate - especially she it got very tough for Sophie and us as she neared the end of her life on earth.
When we get our next dog, Williamsburg will be our first stop.

They know our dog well. They take lot of time explaining anything that they recommend. We always leave there with good understanding of our dog's health and what we need to do to maintain that health. The staff is very friendly and very caring about the pets. The care from the vets again is very good. They understand our dog and seem to do research on challenges of the particular need and any sort of thing going around. Our dog had some sort of bacterial infection that started to showing up. He then talked about and getting our dog back again. He gave very good preventive medicine.
