This crew of four people did an incredible job with the basement. They had to move a very large number of boxes and items so they could sweep the entire space from ceiling-to-floor and wall-to-wall. They then repeated this entire process with water, disinfectant, mops and scrub brushes. They scrubbed the whole place down...again moving items about so they could clean the entire space. They ensured surfaces were dry before placing anything down. It is a large, old, unfinished basement and this was no small task. The estimate for this part of the job was much higher, but they worked so quickly and thoroughly that they cut the cost down considerably---to my benefit.
The vacuuming was thorough and they did an incredible job on the floors--even getting down to hand wipe them down to ensure that they were clean and dry (hardwood and ceramic tile).
The upstairs bathroom was spotless.
The only negative to the entire experience was the downstairs bathroom which was cleaned by the team supervisor.
Problems:
- The toilet was not scoured to remove the ring and rust stains. I even educated the team about using grill screens to clean the toilets. It makes toilet cleaning 1000 times faster. (I used to do commercial cleaning.)
- The bathtub was not thoroughly cleaned even though I specifically pointed out problems. The rust stain was not removed and the soap dish still had hard, old soap in it.
- The sink was not thoroughly cleaned. Mineral deposits around the faucet controls were not cleaned and again the soap dish was not cleaned.
I should have brought all of this to the team's attention immediately after the appointment, but time got away from me. They were such a great crew and they did such a phenomenal job on the other items, I was surprised to find any problems.
I would hire them again, but I would make sure I was clear on my instructions and, I guess, I would have to check their work. (Sigh)

They were late to the appointment by several hours. When they did arrive, they had fewer people than they needed for the job, so told my father they wouldn't be able to do as much work (for the same money). A week later I still found cobwebs behind doors and near the ceilings. The final straw, which disappointed me most, was that they used substantial amounts of water to clean his laminate floors which are now curling. He tried to stop them and asked them not to use water on the laminate, but they continued saying,and quot;they do it all the time.and quot; We are very disappointed and will look elsewhere for our cleaning needs. I gave them an and quot;Aand quot; for responsiveness because they did return the initial call in a timely manner.

"When I first met with the client, I told him that it would be late morning when we would arrive and that there would be at least 3 people in the crew. They showed up at approximately 12:02PM and there was a crew of 4. They worked for almost 2 hours and did everything that he had asked them to do. This would be the equivalent of 8 hours of cleaning if it were done by just one person. There were several rooms that he did not want us to go into and so we did not, and I am sure that there were cobwebs and dust in these rooms. Due to his age, when cleaning the laminate floor, it was done on hands and knees and wiped dry so that he would not possibly slip and fall on a wet floor. A minimal amount of liquid was used. He also requested that we not vacuum in his sun room or to move anything to clean. There was also a lot of boxes around which we tried our best to clean around things. Also, as of this date we have yet to get paid for this job so I think it is unfair to complain about the price."

I called on Tuesday to schedule housecleaning. I had used this service
once before. I did not expect them to be able to come before
Thanksgiving, since this was the week before the holiday, but Jo worked
me in. The crew showed up-- three of them-- and worked like demons. The
house really needed a good cleaning. They did a great job. Far better
than any other service in Lincoln. Everything was spic and span. Their
attention to detail was marvelous-- they wiped down the trash compactor,
kitchen cabinet doors, and even cleaned the sticky residue left from
some photos I had posted (and taken down) on the refrigerator door. Did a
marvelous job. I'm pretty picky, and usually have to ask a crew to do
one or two things more things that they have missed after they have
'finished.' But not this crew!
The price was a little more than I expected, but to be fair, not too outrageous. The house was really dirty. I would expect to usually pay about $120 if they came once a month.

Love the Cleaning Ladies. They usually bring a team of three or four and spend about an hour or hour and a half. They do a great job and are very detailed. I provide the products that I like and they will use whatever we ask. They are very quick and I trust them.

I would highly recommend them. They have been great. They have been here twice and they have been fabulous. I plan to keep using them. Their work is fabulous. If I am not here and I come home, my house is like I like it to be. It is nice and clean and their attention to detail is great. Their price is very reasonable. I have already lined them up to come back.

I was very satisfied with their service, The cleaning team of two people showed up on time and every thing they cleaned was spotless. They did miss one ledge which did not get dusted which I consider no big deal. Over all they rate a high mark from me for the service they provided.

I have tried two other cleaning companies previous to "The Cleaning Ladies" and let them go after 3-4 times. I am so happy to have called Jo Sterling and the "Cleaning Ladies". Jo was very friendly when giving me the estimate and has consistantly been gracious. I like the people who come to clean, they are very friendly. If Iam working from home they work around me untill I leave and they finish. I would "HIGHLY" recommend this company!!!!
