Generally speaking, I'm happy with TCA. Things I wish they would do differently:
1. Allow their staff to use a step stool - not a high one, but maybe 2 or 3 steps - so that they can appropriately reach things. Without this they are essentially using a Swiffer on an extension rod to dust my upper shelves and they aren't getting as clean as they could be.
2. Put things back where they were. This is probably a little bit of me being anal, but if I had something centered on a shelf, when you are done dusting that shelf I would prefer that item be centered again. Throw rugs are sometimes not returned to the place they were taken from, items that were moved for vacuuming aren't returned to the floor, etc.
I've had one item broken in the 2 years they have cleaned for me and they were very responsive. They left me a note and before I could even call the office the next day they had reached out to me. I was impressed.
On occasion I've had to postpone a cleaning, change the time of a cleaning or let them know I'll be home while they clean (we are usually at work) and they've always handled that very well and made it easy for us. Since we are generally not home when they clean, I can't speak to punctuality other than the 3 times in the last two years that we've been home when they cleaned. They were on time for all of those.
They tell you up front they don't clean like you do - and that's true. There have been times I think they could have done a better job on my kitchen floor and in my shower. Having said that though, overall I think they do a good job. Once this contract runs out (you get a discount on each clean if you sign a one-year contract with them) I may check around just to see what my options are, but it probably would have to be a good deal for me to switch companies.
I give them a B+ because of the two things I wish they would do differently.
"The member's service was ended with our company a year before the work completed date in this report due to lack of payment. The amount they paid for our service was $85 + tax, again different from the amount listed of $156.00. In addition our system of cleaning is not based on an amount of time, so we would not have given a 3 hour time frame. On the clean referred to above, the member's were to leave the current payment plus a payment toward their $257 balance. Through prior conversations with the member's, they were aware that if no payment was left the team would leave and the balance turned over to collections. When our team arrived that day, there was no payment, the team contacted the office and were told to leave. Once the member's paid off their balance they contacted us about resuming service, we politely declined and wished them well."
"The member was given a price of $75 + tax for her service at an in-home estimate before she signed up for service, which is different than the $90 she listed. This review was posted before her last two cleans and no complaints were received. A follow up call was placed after she left a message to discontinue service. She mentioned the price as a factor and some items that were missed. The items that she complained about were things that we do not do and were not included on the list of items to be preformed. The member received and acknowledged the items to be performed with her signature at the in-home estimate. She was reminded about our Satisfaction Guarantee (The Cleaning Authority guarantees all cleans. We are human and we do make mistakes, so please call us within 24 hours of your clean if you are unhappy. If necessary, we will return the next business day to correct the clean)."
