Tension spring on garage door broke on Sunday.

Called Overhead Door Company of Lincoln first thing on Monday morning, they helpfully explained cost and how service would work.

They had a service person out within 3-4 hours of that Monday morning call, and placed a temporary clamp on the broken spring to allow normal use of the door. ($70 for initial visit & temporary fix, as had been explained over phone). They had called 15 minutes prior to this visit as initial phone call indicated they would.

Called Tuesday to schedule appointment for Wednesday morning to replace broken spring. Arrived on time, replaced broken spring with a new one .  .($51 for replacement spring and second visit, as had been previously explained over phone.)

Also checked, adjusted,  and lubricated two other garage doors at no charge  

Could not ask for better service or a more reasonable cost.  Very efficient.

Total cost: $121.

The receptionist who answers the phone has a bit of an attitude and could use some training. You need to deal with her to get an appointment. I almost hung up and called another company. Glad I didn't as tech who did the repair was excellent. Replaced all the necessary parts and tuned up the door and opener. Now it operates like new. He even replaced a light bulb that was burned out.

The serviceman was very understanding with my work schedule and had to wait a little while for me to arrive. He was gracious about my tardiness. We had been told by a competitor that it would cost $165 to replace the same part or we could replace the entire unit. Overhead Door replaced the same part for $103 including tax and labor. He said was definitely not necessary to replace the unit. I was very pleased with the entire experience and will use this company again.

I called and they set up a time right away for him to come out. He was very nice and helpful. In fact I would refer them.

We called Overhead Door of Lincoln after getting completely frustrated with another garage door company that had been here four times and had fixed some things but had created other problems.

Cecil, of Overhead Door of Lincoln, really knew what he was doing. He arrived timely, was very professional, and took care of our problems.

Excellent. I originally contacted Niki at Overhead Door a year ago but we weren't able to complete the work at that time. When I called back she still had our file. Niki came out, verified work to be done, updated estimate and scheduled install. Marty came out on the agreed date and replaced both doors and added the new opener.

The new opener had a circuit board problem. Marty didn't have the part on hand but left me a note about it and was back to take care of it the next day as he promised.

Very pleased with doors. They did what they said they would, on the date they said and for the price they said.
