First time there. Older vehicle running poorly, wouldn't  start in terrible cold. I was actually already looking for something newer but decided to give this a try. Talked with Ian, the mechanics who first looked at my vehicle and agreed on what I wanted to have done. Called me ahead of schedule to say it was ready and that it "runs like a top". .......And it does!

I would say you need to speak with Ian.  Of the folks I spoke with, he seemed to be the most responsive.  I'm sure they have several good mechanics, but Ian is a good communicator too.  I was apprehensive, because of the potential major repair cost and the age of my vehicle.  I had several people look at the car before Norm's had a shot at it.  No one had properly diagnosed the problem until Ian and his crew took a look.  Nice job!  Ian helped properly diagnose the problem and clearly communicated what needed to be done.  He came up with an estimate and allowed me time to consider whether I wanted to spend that much on an old vehicle.  Ultimately, I decided to take a chance and have them do the work.  It went well, albeit a little slow to get the job done.  They were experiencing a temporary shortage of mechanics due to illness.  He was honest about the time constraints and I had the time to wait.  The repair went well and they actually came in under the estimate.  I am very pleased with the results and am now driving the car daily after it being sidelined for a year. Thanks to Norm's Car Care for a job well done!

I called them on Wednesday about my car. He asked a lot of questions so he could try and figure out what it might be on the phone. He told me I could drop it off Thursday night and they would look at it on Friday. They called me around 10a on Friday telling us what they needed to do and what the price would be. It was done within a couple of hours. I thought they were very professional over the phone and very nice when talking about what they needed to do with the car and when we went to pick it up. They seemed very knowledgeable even over the phone. They told me what they thought it was over the phone and they were right. Very quick work and very good work. I can't believe they got the car done so fast. Great service. I am so pleased with these guys. It's hard to find a good mechanic anywhere but these guys are the real deal. AND my car runs great!

When we originally called to bring the car in, we did have to wait a few days (over the weekend) to get an appointment. We took that as a good sign that it was a busy shop and that them being busy might be for a good reason. The car's heater had not worked last winter. It also just recently began making quite a noise around the front end/suspension system. It was still drivable but needed to be taken care of.
I was told the best time to bring the car in was between 7am and 9am the day of the appointment. This is due to the fact that they usually have a lot of cars to work on. I got there right at 7:00, and was helped quickly. The only reason I had to wait after that was that a mechanic was giving me a ride back home and he was already out with another customer. The wait wasn't long and soon he was driving me home. Not only was it convenient to not have to get someone else to come pick me up, but there was a side benefit that I was able to point out the front end noise problem, and discuss it along the way.
After a few hours they called with an estimate to repair the front end. I okayed the work and they started right off. After that was done, they checked out the thermostat and called back with that price. Again it all sounded good on our end so we authorized that repair as well. I can't review pricing too accurately as I don't have a lot of experience bringing cars in for repair. Since the price was within our budget I didn't get any other estimates.
When they had called with the end price, they originally stated it would be the next morning before it was completed. We got a call a couple hours later and they had finished with the work. He said that because the next day was going to be another busy one for them, he had a guy stay late to fix. They are open till 9 pm. I got a ride to the shop and picked up the car about an hour after their call.
Everything seems fine and as far as I can tell, the repairs did the trick. As with anything mechanical, only time will tell. The car is 22 years old so I didn't expect much. After these repairs though it feels as though it can go on for a few more years at least.
Norm's Car Care service was professional and they were good to deal with. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. This review is review of Angie's List as well I guess, as this is the first business I've gone to based off of reviews found on this site. I felt more confident going into the process with Norm's, and am very happy with the results for both services.

Norm's has been my car service place for well over 15 years. They are very fair in their prices. If they don't think you need the service, they'll tell you; I thought I needed new tires and they told me mine were fine. They've always gotten me in for service right away. They've come to get me when my car was done. The gas is a few cents more that surrounding stations but it's worth it just for the service!

The work was done more quickly than expected and the cost was less than estimated. I highly recommend Norm's Car Care.

They got my vehicle in right away. It took them the whole day, but they did the work well with good communication and I haven't had any problems since.

They were awesome and absolutely incredible. If I could have brought those guys out here with me I would have. Their customer service was awesome. I didn't feel that they tried to take advantage of me as a single woman. They were there whenever I needed them. They were amazing. I would highly recommend them to anybody. Another thing that I want to talk about them is their honesty. They were very upfront with what needed to be done. They were just very trustworthy. I've used them for two or three years and always felt very comfortable with them. Their price is very reasonable. I'm not the only one who speaks highly about them but I have friends that really love them. In fact a friend recommended them to me. They are amazing.

I take my car to them all the time. There was no charge for the last service and it has been running fine since then. It must have been a glitch, but they were very nice. They got me right in. I had to take off for a business trip that day and I had to leave by around noon. So I asked them if they could squeeze me in since it was in the last minute. They didn’t have any time slots, but they got it done before noon. They checked it and there were no problems. It went very well. I have worked with them in the past and they are always very good. They are very professional and conscientious. They also do a good job. I have never had a problem with them. I would use their services in the future too.
