Nature Shield Windows is in my opinion an unprofessional organization that took payment but didn't complete the contract.  They also refuse to honor their warranty obligations.  
I signed a contract on 2 June, 2014 to replace the windows in my house with a deposit and the remainder of the money due when work was completed.  They did not contact me until after repeated request for status updates.  I finally got a commitment to install the windows for 20 November 2014, which the company moved until 3 December.  The company did some of the work on 3 & 4 December 2014 and to this date, have not completed the work.  My house was damaged during the removal of the old windows with a reciprocal saw.  They have refused to fix paint and/or repair damage to oak trim.  On 1 December 2014, Nature Shield processed a charge against my credit card without authorization.  I worked with my credit card company and the charge was marked as ?fraud auto transfer? on my statement.  Nature Shield during the credit card dispute began to demand payment and threatened to file a lien against my house.  After the credit card company removed the charge and Nature Shield and sub-contractor signed lien waiver forms, I paid the remaining balance with the understanding Nature Shield would complete the contracted work.  As part of this, the Nature Shield installed broken window frames and has failed to repair them after the manufacturer provided replacement frames. I tried to resolve the issues through the BBB but that resulted in the BBB closing the complaint as the business not trying to resolve the issue in good faith.  I can not recommend Nature Shield Windows.

The first day the installer couldn't make it because there was another job he had to finish.  I wish someone had told me before Monday so I could have went in to work that day.  The second day the installer finally showed up around 10:30 and got 1 window installed.  It did start to rain and he left around 2:30.  Wednesday morning the 28th, I had arranged to work from home again.  I waited and nobody showed up.  Contacted the owner AGAIN (so many calls) and she called me back.  Apparently the installer had called her at 4 in the morning with a high fever.  Another wasted day at home.  By Wednesday night when the install was supposed to done - we had one window installed.  Thursday the installer was still sick but at least they let me know the night before so I could go into work.  The owner also said that they would be here Friday and Saturday.  My husband stayed home Friday am and they got her around 10:00.  I came home again for the afternoon.  They went to lunch and got back around 1:15.  There were two of them.  One stayed ( he didn't have a choice - he didn't have a vehicle here.  One went to get nails and apparently lost his phone or something.  Upshot was he never came back until almost 4 to pick up the other guy.  Today is Saturday and my house is still tore apart with furniture moved and no curtains up and NOBODY showed up or called today either.  Left message with both the installer and owner. but I'm not expecting anyone to call back. The Nebraska Attorney General has called me this week to make sure the install was going well.  My report back to them will not be good. It did rain this morning but it was done by 8 am (and they never come until 10 or 10:30 when they do decide to show up).  It is not supposed to rain today at all but I'm betting that when I do finally hear from somebody eventually that they will blame the rain.  There's always an excuse.  Stay far far away from Nature Shield Windows out of Lincoln.

fast and professional crew. They did additional bracing on the bay window at no extra cost. Love the new windows.

Other than bad weather during the install, they did a good job.

It went pretty well up until the end. There was a misunderstanding between us and sales man, but they ended up doing what we wanted.
