J & L Cleaning

The two women who own J&L Cleaning, Julie and Letha, have come to clean our home approximately every other week since October. At first, my husband was skeptical about the value of a housecleaning service, but by the second cleaning he was recommending rooms for them to clean! Now I have more time to spend with my family, and I can enjoy my home. Their prices are reasonable; their services are flexible; they are thorough and efficient cleaners; and I enjoy working with them.
Price - They price their services by the room, and they clean each room thoroughly. Before they start, they always ask which room(s) I would like them to clean and then they give me an estimate for their services. I had never used cleaning services before and the pricing was a mystery to me, so I was pleasantly surprised with the transparency of their approach. If you calculate their price by the hour, it's also very reasonable because they work together and they stay until the rooms are cleaned from ceiling to floor and wall to wall. Because the owners are also providing the service, they have been very flexible about the services. While they price by the room, I asked them to clean the floors in all of the rooms in our home at each cleaning, so they worked out a price just for the floors. They have also cleaned my sliding glass door and dusted the cobwebs from the ceilings upon request.

Services  - Our house always feels fresher when they leave. While I do pick up so they can vacuum, I never have to go back over their work and redo it myself. Over time their quality has not changed. We have also had a lot more people over since we started using their services (including my parents-in-law). I'm not self-conscious that my home might not be clean enough for company anymore. Most of the cleanings have been scheduled in advance, but I just called them to see if they could clean before my husband's birthday party this weekend and they are going to be here later this morning.
Working with J&L Cleaning - As mentioned, I enjoy working with both Julie and Letha. Both women have previous professional and home cleaning experience with larger companies, and they are bonded and insured. I had no previous connection to this company. I responded to a flier they put on our door this fall. However, I love being able to support their local startup business.
