Harrison Roofing

The project went flawlessly. We couldn't be more happy with the work of John Harrison & his crew. We have a new Certainteed Class 4 roof that will hopefully stand up to the erratic weather that often presents in Nebraska.

John Harrison told me up front that he would sub-contract out the work but that it would be done to his standards.  I asked for names and phone numbers of other people he had done jobs for and he readily gave those to me.  After finding out where I worked he also mentioned that he had reroofed the house of one of my colleagues.  I called my co-worker who told me he did a good job.  All the other references I talked to also had good things to say about him.

He was able to schedule me in about three weeks time from when I accepted his estimate.  He actually called and wanted to do it on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, but we had guests coming in so he held off until the next week.  The crew did the vast majority of the work in one day, finishing up the next day.  It all looked good to me.  However the crew apparently damaged the gutter on one side of the house--he pointed this out to me.  He said to hold out $500 from the payment until the gutter was replaced.

Now that gutter is replaced and looks a lot better than the rest of my gutters!

One last thing: I knew there was at least one piece of rotten decking on my porch roof, so I asked how much extra for that, because of course there was no way of knowing how much would need to be replaced before they tore off.  He gave me a price of $30 a sheet for materials and labor.  They did replace some decking, but he didn't ask for anything over the original quote.

We have had our roof replaced a few years ago by Harrison Roofing, they showed up about 8:30am and left about 7:00pm that same day and the work was not only completed but there was absolutley no trash left anywhere. You couldn't even tell they were there besides we had a new roof! Then after contacting 3 companies to get our fascia, soffit, and a window aluminum wrapped Harrison Roofing was the only company to show up as scheduled, on time, and the bid of $1900 was less than anticipated. We got a bid about this time last year for $2300 but then never heard from the company again. I didn't realize that Harrison Roofing did this type of work at first or we would have contacted them and only them the first time. In addition it was very refreshing to actually speak to the owner, John. Not an employee, the actual owner in both cases. He even remembered us. Excellent experience!

John Harrison was very professional as he guided us thru the roofing process. We felt he had our personal interests in mind as he presented us with some options, in materials, colors, and prices. We worked on narrowing our choices down to 3. We were impressed when he suggested we take a look at some houses that had already been done in the materials we were considering before making our final decision. He provided addresses for us and it was worth our time to check them out.
John provided a detailed written estimate that was very competitive, He worked with us in scheduling the job making sure it would not interfere with anything we may have had planned. It seemed like it took him no time at all to complete the job. The quality of his workmanship and materials are excellent. Since we have little grandkids who visit us frequently it was very important to us that clean-up be thorough and we were very satisfied with that as well.
John has also done some gutter repair for our family. There was a section of guttering that had come loose on my dad's two story farm house. John found a way to get everything back in place and secured, as good as new.
