Azzu Tree Service

Azzu showed up after 2PM and worked until around 8PM for two days, June 6th and June 7th. They cut the tree in the front yard down on the first day. After the crew had cut off the majority of the branches on the tree, most of the crew packed up and headed home. I was deeply concerned to then see that with a crew of just two people on hand (the owner and a female worker), cut the entire 40-50 foot tree at the base, and just let the whole thing fall down into the street like that. The blow from the tree split a whole sidewalk panel, and took a chunk out the size of a large banana. We are waiting to hear if there was damage caused to any pipes below the surface from this. The tree also hit our mailbox, damaging the box and dislodging the post We did not get our mail for two days because Azzu parked a trailer with a blown out tire in front of our mailbox and left it there over the two days. Azzu left piles of branches in the street, and the mail carrier either could not or would not navigate the mess to deliver our mail. After they left, I had to sweep up a lot of debris from the street that they left in front of my neighbor's house. Azzu also left behind two crushed Bud Light cans that they tucked into cinder blocks in my backyard that they must have forgotten to take with them. They did eventually send someone to mend the sidewalk panel, but they never returned to remove the stumps and finish the job. We will probably wind up buying stump remover at the same time we head up to the hardware store to buy supplies to replace the mailbox post that they damaged.

First of all, the provider promised me he would be on-site when the work was performed to ensure it was done right.  I just happened to stop at home when they were in the middle of the job and the owner was no where to be found.  They decimated the tree they were supposed to just trim on one side so that a 40 inch high chain link fence could be installed. The tree is approximately 15 feet high and had branches all the way to its base.  Instead of just trimming the area that needed to be trimmed to make room for the fence, they cut branches off all around the tree and all the way to almost the top so it now looks like an umbrella.  They essentially ruined the tree.  They did not remove the bush or the tree stumps they were supposed to remove so did not finish the job.  They left a gate to a street wide open putting my dog and my neighbor's dog at risk.  I tried to contact the owner 3 times but never received a call back.

I was very happy with the services provided. I was contacted promptly after indicating my needs and we negotiated a reasonable price and date for the services to be performed. The company showed up on time with sufficient staff and completed the job in a professional manner. I am very happy and would hire them again.

This company was the first to respond to 3 emails that I sent out.  They came out to give me an estimate and when I accepted, said they could do the job yet that afternoon.  They cleaned up as they trimmed and even processed a neighbor's tree limb that had been laying there for several days.

 The service was fast and the work look very good. I will use them in the future and recommend the service.

I just moved into the Country Club area, and have completely redone my yard. In my backyard, in additiion to a beautiful Catalpa, over the years a random collection of volunteer trees had grown in the back yard, blocking the Eastern morning sun, and the Catalpa had grown into one of the neighbor's trees. In the front yard, there were two small ornamental trees - a crab and a redbud, which were being shaded out by a large ash, whose lower branches were jutting into and entangling the branches of the ornamentals. Alot of careful, fine tuning needed.
I happened to notice the Azzu crew working in my area one day, they looked professional, and so I asked if they would give me a bid for the job. The owner said "sure". immediately came over, and gave a very reasonable bid. Several months later, when I called to schedule the services, he was able to get me on his schedule almost immediately. A woman from the office called to confirm the day of the appointment.
I was unable to be there during the service, which I normally would have been with a new contractor.  However, when I arrived home later in the day, all the work had been done, exactly as bid, with a few tasteful extra trims here and there thrown in. I was very please to find that all of the cuts were made at appropriate angles and at the right distance from the trunk, and that there was no damage to any of the smaller trees into which some of the removed branches had grown. And the cleanup was immaculate.
