Autographics Specialty Co

I was sent to this business by a highly reputable antique Hot-Rod builder. I went to Autographics with much confidence in their abilities and was willing to pay accordingly for a high quality job. I bought a brand new car and wanted it pin-striped. I went there with an idea and a drawing of what I wanted. We left the car there on a Monday saying that we would be back next Monday to pick it up. When we went to pick it up we looked it over and I was mildly unsure if it was acceptable. We took the car home I washed it and took a closer look at it. I decided then I was quite dissatisfied so I took the car to the Hot-rod builder that sent me to Autographics and asked his professional opinion on the job. He completely agreed with me. The job looked rushed and was very amateurish, he also said that if that was one of his cars he would return with complaints. I then called back to Autographics. I was very humble explaining that the job we received did not match his reputation. So he said bring it back. We took it back I pointed out some very obvious flaws. I explained the job was not good and that I would like him to redo it. He became angry and very defensive. I apologized for not accepting the quality. He became unfriendly and sour, trying to make me feel like I was wrong for questioning the job. At this point I just wanted to get my money back and walk away. But he removed the bad striping and began re striping the car. He did not finish the job so we left it for pick up later. When we arrived for pick up. He had us look it over and it was a much better job than the first time, not perfect but acceptable. As we were leaving he then asked for more money because he felt he had more time involved. I could not accept that I owed more money when there was unsatisfactory work at first. I was astonished that he would ask for more money. I did not pay him anymore. I would have thought that pleasing the customer would be a priority in this economy. Lacking in professionalism and customer care I can only recommend checking the Yellow pages and going elsewhere.
