After comparing the estimates and reviews of four local roofing contractors, my wife and I decided to accept the bid from The Gutter Truck, LLC and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Owners Dan Baber and Carlos Nieto came to the house and went over all aspects of the job with my wife and me and explained to us exactly what they would do and what to expect in the process. They brought brochures for us to choose our shingle style and color from, and when we were still a little unsure of which color to choose, Dan provided me with the website of a shingle manufacturer where we could upload a photo of our house and virtually “try out” different shingle colors and styles on our own house to give us a better idea of which one to choose. It was an awesome tool and really helped us in the decision-making process.
Dan kept in contact with me during the scheduling process and let me know in advance when the materials would arrive, and even when he got very busy after the big hail storm hit Blair and Fort Calhoun, he always promptly returned my calls if I had a question about something.
The original plan was to do the roof on Monday and the gutters on Tuesday, but their gutter crew finished another job ahead of schedule, so they had them come over and do our gutters early Monday afternoon as the roofing crew was putting the finishing touches on the roof, so they got everything done in one day!
The Gutter Truck LLC did a great job and even finished ahead of schedule. The crews were prompt, professional, and courteous, and took extra care not to damage any of the flowers and shrubs my wife has planted around the perimeter of our home. When the work was finished, they did an outstanding job of cleaning everything up, and they went around the house several times with a roller magnet just to make sure there were no stray nails or staples lying around.
After the crews left, Dan did a final walk-around with me on the roof, and then with my wife and me around the house at ground level, to make sure we were happy with everything. My wife told Dan that the crews did such a good job cleaning up, if it wasn’t for the beautiful new roof and gutters, we would never have known they were there. Dan simply said “That’s the way it should be!”
Dan even took the time to help me organize the paperwork I would need to acquire a rebate on defective shingles that were installed on our house over 10 years ago by a different contractor.
The new roof and gutters look great, and I am confident now that our home is well-protected against the elements. I would highly recommend The Gutter Truck, LLC for your roofing and gutter needs, and when I get tired of painting our house, I’ll probably be calling Dan and Carlos and their crews to have them install siding on our home.
