I received a bid for a roofing job. It was a good price, so I contacted Tyler Fangmeyer (the business owner) and told him he had the winning bid. I asked if he needed any money up front for materials, he said no.I then asked when the work would begin, and Tyler said the first week of June 2012. Well, the whole month of June went by, so I called Tyler to see what the delay was.Tyler indicated that there might be more work involved, and the quoted price might be higher. I said that's fine as long as the new quote wasn't too high that would be OK. Just fax me what the extra work would cost me. He agreed to fax me an updated quote by July 2, 2012.July 3rd I called Fangmeyer Construction to see where the updated quote was, left a message on the answering machine.July 5th I called Fangmeyer Construction to see where the updated quote was, left a message on the answering machine.I called and left a message on the business answering machine July 6th, July 9th, July 10th, July 11th, July 12th, July 13th, July 16th, July 17th, July 18th.Fangmeyer Construction's voice mail box was then full as of July 18, 2012. No representative of the company ever returned any of my calls. I actually drove to Tyler Fangmeyer's house and left a message to call me. Still he didn't return my call.Finally, on July 19th, I was able to get Tyler Fangmeyer on the phone. He stated that he was too busy to do the job for me.He also stated that he submitted a bid WITHOUT EVER LOOKING AT THE PROPERTY!I pleaded with him, and told him to just give me a reasonable bid increase and do the job. He stated that he would NOT do the job for any amount of money. So, in summary: Unprofessional, unreliable customer service by any definition.
