Description of Work: We have 3 Ash trees that were looking pretty sickly. We called Terry Hughes Tree Service and they came out and took care of the trees right away. It was kind of expensive but our ash trees are huge and I would hate to lose them. We have used Terry Hughes Tree Service in the past and have been happy with the results.

Description of Work: Sprayed my Sunburst Honey Locust Tree for bag worms. They also spray my crab apple and oak tree each year.

Description of Work: Had an estimate, requested how long it would be till they could get to complete it, they said 2 weeks. Called after week to see when they were showing up, the gal that answered said they were out 4 weeks and could not help me as I had requested/discussed how important it was to get it done as it was affecting my neighbor as well. I got no calls back. Very rude I thought.

Description of Work: The last service provided was annual care of my spruce. Prior to that I have had them trimming or removing my 80 year old elm trees when damaged by storms. They manage to remove huge trees with no access without damaging anything. I am an avid gardener and they have never hurt the plants below where they are working. Over the past 20 years they have been here approximately six times and I have had nothing but excellent advice from the arborists and outstanding service.

Description of Work: I used Terry Hughes for tree service. They removed a very large pine tree, cleaned up another tree, trend it up, and removed 5 messy looking branched of 3 things. I had a large tree that is supposed to provide straight but they really fan and out of.

Description of Work: We received a quote to have our tree trimmed. We were happy with the quote; however, we decided to fix some other issues in our house. If we decide to have the tree trimmed in the future, we will definitely give them a call.

Description of Work: They trimmed 2 trees in my yard, They did a good job at it. They came while I was not at home and I was surprised to see just how much they took when I got home. I understand that me tree looks bare now because of the weather and I am hoping that my trees will fill out when Spring finally gets here.

Description of Work: I had a pine tree removed that had died, Work was performed without any damage to a nearby fence or yard, The removal and cleanup work was outstanding, despite all the pine needles that had fallen. I have used this company many times and they have yet to be disappointed with their wrk.

Description of Work: I have an annual examination of my lot. I live in a wooded area . Plus I have a Thornless Hawthorne that needs constant attention because it is prone to insect atack and disease. Hughes takes care of the tree and gives me an appraisal of what needs attention annually. Their service has allowed me to avoid big problems during the past heavy windstorms, because problem areas were treated in advance. The service is prompt and professional. Not the cheapest, but entirely reliable.

Description of Work: I have used Terry Hughes Tree Service twice for tree and stump removal with mixed emotions. The crew that does the work and the office gals are WONDERFUL!!! The girls in the office are so helpful and polite. The crews are prompt, polite, professional and do a great job. Having said that, the problem for me lies with the individual who provided me with my estimate both times and (used them for services in 2010, March 2012) most recent estimate provided to me May 16, 2012. This individual was sarcastic, rude, not a good communicator, had the audacity to tell me that I needed to keep wood I didn't want as it was "good to burn"-and I had asked for an estimate also on removal of this wood. He also came one hour early this last appointment and I am a night shift worker so asked for a specific appointment time so I would not be sleeping-wanted to be awake so I could discuss the estimate with him and decide on services as I have always done previously. After he came on 5/16 I called the office and voiced my concerns. They set up another appt. for me 5/22/12 at 10a.m. with one of the owners. At 10:30 on 5/22 I called the office and they connected me to this individual who wasn't even at my house. He made all kinds of excuses and was just as sarcastic and cynical as his employee. I told him he didn't seem very interested in my concderns or my business and I would go elsewhere to which he replied in a very chiper tone of voice-"Okay" and hung up! Never will I refer anyone to this company!!!
