Our Certified Arborists are trained in all aspects of tree care, from pruning of your favorite ornamental to trimming of large historic trees. Our tree service can also perform tree removal and large land clearing projects. We also offer complete Plant Health Care Services for all trees and shrubs. Our technicians are trained in plant diagnostics, insect and disease treatments and fertilization. Our technicians are able to use spraying and injections to offer the most effective treatments available. We take pride in the fact that Terry Hughes Tree Service was Nebraska’s first Nationally Accredited Tree Care Company. Our company has received the industry’s seal of approval for quality, safety and ethics. We take a long term approach with our customers because we want a relationship that spans decades.

they did a great job, no damage to house or yard. Took away all the limbs and cleaned up nearly all small branches. My only criticism would be communication ahead of time. I called to follow up on a Thursday or Friday, and found out they would be there the next Monday. Removal worker informed me when asked, the stump removal usually follows about a week or so later (wasn't informed on that and 7-10 days later those disappeared - but also good clean up. I would use them again.

I had no trouble with them expect postponing the services due to snow which I realize its not the company's fault. I've used this company before and they cleaned after work was completed but this time I feel they could've cleaned up better.

There was a small glitch in scheduling the stump grinding, but everything else was done as agreed -- and with no issues.  Their office staff was also very professional compared to a couple other places we contacted.

Contracted Terry Hughes Tree Service after a branch was hanging over our garage in June, 2014. They gave me an estimate for over $750 or so and agreed to trim entire tree, which was written on the estimate itself. Hughes Tree Service came and cut the most obviously broken branch but left other barren branches both in the general area and all around the tree. I asked them to come back to look at this, calling the arborist several times and leaving messages, and as far I know, they never did. I paid $350, and within a couple of months, another large barren branch fell on my garage. I called, sending a photo of the branch on my garage, and they did nothing. I finally asked to talk to the owner, Stacy, and he very rudely raised his voice and told me that he would write off the remaining balance, but they would not return to trim my tree or to fix my garage, and not to call his company in the future.

Two large leads were removed from this tree and except for the obvious large portion of the tree missing, you could not tell that they were even there after they left. The tree is surrounded by s large hosta bed and low voltage lights and not even one stem was broken on a hosta plant. These are real professionals, and not just some guys that decided to call themselves tree trimmers!

The guys did a great job again following the instructions Todd gave when he did the estimate on April 17th of 2014.  The work was then completed within 2 weeks by April 30th.  I have never had any problems with this company, their workers, or their work and clean-up.  They are a very good company to work with and they seem to have a bunch of people who really know what they afre doing with trees.  Typically they send a certified arborist out ahead of time to see what really needs to be done and to help the customer underdstand.  They are the best in town.

As usual they did a great job.  A good company to work with although their reputation is such that they sometimes can get overwhelmed with work.  In this case it was so late in the season that weather also kept them away for a while.  The estimate was done October 16th of 2013 and the work had to wait until January 15, 2014.  They are all very helpful, friendly, easy-going people and are so good at what they do lots of people use their services.  So sometimes one has to wait a bit.

Great friendly crew here over a two day period.  Easy guys to work with.The estimate was given on July 19th, 2013 but the work couldn't get done until September as there were lots of downed trees in the city and the Hughes guys were very busy.  They always go out of their way to make sure customers are completely satisfied with the work.  Hughes is a good company to work with.
