Very professional! They have done two different jobs. The first was a problem with my sewer line backing up. They found that it was full of tree roots. The plumber worked for hours cutting through the roots. It was a long, hard job and he was determined to get it cleaned out. The second job was to clean the kitchen drain. Obviously, the previous owner dumped lots of grease down the drain. It was a lot to clean out. The cost wasn't bad considering that the tree roots ended up being a day and a half project.

They were very professional and worked to find the source.

It went very well and the people from Herman were on time maybe a few minutes late since they were waiting to pick up my water heater from where I purchased it. They were polite and did all of this in a couple hours. The technicians saved me money by telling me if I wanted to change out a shower head it would be more expensive then just repairing the one I had. They saved me money and gave me other options. I would definitely use Herman Plumbing again for any plumbing issues I may have.

It went well, they were there shortly after the scheduled time, were there and gone in 45 minutes which was great, they do charge from the time they leave their shop until they are finished cleaning their machines so I was charged an extra 30 minutes, but I'm sure that's also included in other companies billing. Very happy with their service.

First off, they answer the phone so that's a good start.  We made an appointment for them to stop and look at what I wanted done, and they were on time for that appointment and they called before they were coming.  Estimate was mailed and I called and scheduled the work to be done.  Again they called before they came and again they arrived on time.  Performed work as per the estimate, we tested the hydrant, they showed me the shut-off valve, what they did etc.  Received bill in the mail and the bill was actually about $40 less than the estimate.  Almost too good to be true.  If there were any negatives, it would be that the helper for the plumber working outside was smoking while doing some work .  That's all I have to nitpick about.  I will use them going forward, and I have used them again since this.  Same results.

The plumber Herman Plumbing sent to our home was very professional and thorough in his work.  We had several things we needed done and he replaced or repaired everything to our complete satisfaction.  Our whirlpool tub had several jets showing some corrosion around the rings - he didn't have the replacement parts at the time but took pictures so he could be on the lookout for them.  A couple weeks later, I received a phone call from him and he'd found some rings that would work.  I highly recommend Herman Plumbing!!

My parent's house has a very shallow crawl space under the house; it requires literally scooting on your back/stomach, with no room to roll over. I was concerned the fellows wouldn't be able to get under there, but thankfully one of the guys was tall & skinny. Somehow he managed to shimmy over to the burst pipes and replace them. They had to cap off the pipe to the outside spigot, but I was fine with that, since it's the reason the pipes froze in the first place. The spigot is located literally under the house. We have to keep a hole dug in the landscape so we can attach a hose to it--what a pain! I've been wanting a better solution, and the guys suggested they could tie into the bathroom plumbing and put a new one at a more reasonable height along the same wall as the old one. I plan to have them come back in the spring to do just that (no reason to make them work in the cold now), along with replacing the faucets in the kitchen and bathtub.
We've used Herman Plumbing for various projects the past 13 years, and have always been pleased with them. Besides this latest issue, we've had them rooter out clogged drains several times, replace all the old plumbing in our basement, and install a new kitchen sink. The men are always courteous and answer questions without making me feel stupid for asking them. They can usually come out the same day (often within a couple hours) of me calling with a plumbing emergency. I don't want to use anyone else.

These people are WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! I have used them for the 22 years we have lived here in Grand Island and they do excellent work, they answer questions without making you feel like an idiot. They are timely in appointments and come quickly if it is an emergency! I would DEFINITELY recommend them for ANYTHING water related you need done in your home!

What upset us was that he kne w that he would not be able to do the well outside,before he came out.  So we ended up paying two .plumbers.  We live on a very tight budget like  most people.   Yes he did come out and checked everything in the house,but we had said it was the well. Hansen Well Service came out and redid every thing Hermans did plus fixed the well.

Herman Plg called me when the plumber left the office to come to my home for a heads up on the time. Ray had all the necessary  drains and accessories on the truck when he arrived. He listened to my instructions for faucet handle placement
and we discussed the locations for the soap dispenser and drinking water faucet. Everything was installed as instructed in a short amount of time and the work area was cleaned up before he left.
We have used Herman Plumbing to inspect and repair our sprinkler backflow valves for years and had zero problems.
I would recommend Herman Plumbing and will use them again in the future.

I was very impressed with how fast they responded.  I was without water until the valve was fixed.  They treated me very well and were very professional.

It was a pretty good deal on the price.  They came right out and took care of our drain problem.  They cleaned up after themselves.  We thought they just did a really good job for the price.  They were recommended from someone else.

I bought the sink at Lowe's and Herman Plumbing set it. They did a really good job. There was an incident where someone else walked away from the job and I was left with a bathroom half finished. I was going out of town for a couple of weeks. I called several other plumbers but all of them were busy and weren't able to come for a several days. I called Herman Plumbing and they were here the next morning and had everything done. They were busy too and wanted to put me on a list, and I cried. If it had been just me it would have been OK but I had several people coming from out of state. I would use this company again.

It was super from beginning phone call to the end of the job.  I will definately use them again and will refer my friends to them.

Most of our calls were of desperation due to clogged drains, so it was a relief that they were always prompt in getting to our house even though we are located 12+ miles out of town. Our clogs were mainly caused by tree roots entering the sewer line, and so they used their rotor-rooter to clean it out. After the first couple times of doing that (at $240 a pop) they suggested we use a chemical we pour down the sewer line ourselves that would kill the roots. They sold the chemical at around $75, which obviously was cheaper than having them come out all the time. We were happy with that solution; it didn't completely get rid of the roots, but it slowed them down, so we didn't have to call Herman Plumbing out as often, thus saving us money. Since our plumbing was 50+ years old and a hodgepodge of pipes going everywhere, we had them re-do all the drain pipes in the basement. This cost around $1,800 as I recall. We were very happy with their work, and it did improve our other drain issues. We would liked to have had them fix our old sewer line too, but that would have involved tearing up our driveway, which we couldn't afford. The last time we used them was to fix that broken water faucet handle. My husband thought the problem was far more serious than that--that the pipe itself had broken or something--so I was a little embarrased that we'd wasted the guy's time to put on what was probably a $2 part, but he was very professional and good-hearted about it. The only reason we haven't used them since is that we finally had that offending tree chopped down. No more roots--no more clogged sewer line! But I would definately call them again if we had plumbing problems. I went to their office a few times to buy that chemical, and the 2 gals who worked there were always cheerful, helpful, and remembered who I was. Overall, a friendly, professional company.

I have never been anything, but happy with their work. The lady that answers their phone is pleasant and conversational and shows a desire to help. The plumbers themselves are nice and do a good job, quickly and accurately.
