We extended more than enough patience to allow the owner, Renato, time to correct his actions. However, after over a year of non-compliance with Small Claims Court case 24S422 (El Paso County), the next step is the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest. Renato was hired for a two-part job and was terminated after failing to show up prepared?he arrived without any of the necessary materials and attempted to cover it up. He then damaged a stair tread, tried to glue it together, and attempted to conceal the damage rather than take accountability. When confronted, he claimed to have ordered a replacement part?another lie, as no order was ever placed. After we agreed to part ways, Renato promised a refund for the prepaid portion of the job he did not complete, even stating the refund had been ?processed.? That was false. Instead of returning the money, he said?and I quote??my plan is to cost you dearly?and he has followed through by dragging this out.

I hired k & R to refinish my wood floors.
