He and two helpers turned up promptly, worked steadily and completed the job in less than a day. A minor problem showed up afer a day or so, I don't even remember now exactly what it was, but he came back immediately and fixed it. It has been working fine ever since.

We have an area in our yard that WAS an eyesore! It gets very little sun and grass wouldn't grow. Unfortunately it is the first thing you see when you go down our deck stairs. I had tried everything from special grass seed, treating the soil to putting down river rock. A relative had given us some flagstone they had taken out of their yard. I thought about making a walkway from our stairs to the gate through the bad lands. That didn't work because the ground was so uneven. I called Todd to ask what could be done. He took some measurements and said he would work on it.  A few days later he arrived with two workers. I was at work. When I returned home my husband met me at the door. He said "you've got to see this!" I couldn't believe it was the same area. He had used the flagstone to build a beautiful walkway to the gate. He also created a raised garden, edged with large rocks.  He then took crowded plants from our yard and transplanted them into the garden. He connected the patio under our deck to the garden with steps made from the flagstone. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. His ability to envision, what he wants to do, is more than an art. It's a gift.

Todd always keeps you in the loop as far as how the project is planned and executed. He is always available for questions and is very amenable to changes/additions to a project. His crew is very respectful and works very hard to get the job done on schedule or ahead of schedule. The Pond Guy offers creative solutions to your landscaping needs. Honest and dedicated and very knowledgeable about water features and landscaping. I highly recommend The Pond Guy.

We couldn't be happier with the service provided by Todd and his team. My pond has never worked better and the rebuilt retaining wall was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this company" and will definitely use them again!

It is now August and the pond still looks good - no green algae which had been a problem.  Will use them next year as well.

He (Todd) trouble shot and found the leak. Within 24 hours he had his crew on-site remedying the problem (was a simple ground settling issue). The Pond Guy did not charge for his labor!

Todd put in our pond over 12 years ago and our pond has been working great ever since. He or his crew come in the spring to drain, clean out, adjust shifting rocks, and refill the pond. He usually is able to provide this service within a few days of my request and we are set to enjoy the pond for the summer. He and his team have always been professional and friendly. If you are looking for someone who does good work and keeps things running smoothly year after year, I recommend you give Todd a call.

After an embarrassing and expensive mistake hiring the wrong contractor to build a waterfall behind our home, we took a class on Pond Building offered through the Community College, hoping that we could fix the mess left behind by the original contractor.  The instructor was Todd Kalihoff, owner of "The Pond Guy" landscaping business.  We decided after attending his class that we wanted him to come out and give us an estimate on repairing the mess left behind by the previous contractor.  Todd showed up at the agreed time, discussed options with us and two days later provided us with an estimate that was agreeable to us.  We contracted to have the work performed.  The Pond Guy showed up with his experienced crew when he said he would be there and completed the work within a week.  The work performed included repairing leaks to the existing waterfall, getting rid of the pond we had not wanted (made it pondless), added a "south fork" to the waterfall, replaced an existing pump with an energy efficient, quick-release pump and added multiple small waterfalls along the 50 foot waterfall stream, focusing on ensuring that the "waterfall sound" was directionally projected to give us the best possible audible experience.  We were extremely pleased with the outcome.  Another thing that was amazing to us was that the first contractor did severe damage to our lawn with their equipment.  The Pond Guy and crew left our property in better shape than when they arrived.  During the process of re-doing the waterfall, Todd Kalihoff also found a way to cut labor and equipment costs and then passed that savings on to us.  If you are looking for a professional landscaper for any water feature, I highly recommend The Pond Guy.  He and his crew are honest, know their business inside-out and take great pride in achieving customer satisfaction.

This company was very  professional and courteous; they were very patient ansering my questions, did not destroy any of our existing landscape, provided helpful hints on pond care and future landscaping ideas for around the pond.Todd the Pond Guy incorportated a tiered pond wall design (like steps) to prevent any accidents.  If a child, dog or cat fell in they could easily grab a rock or ledge and easily get out.  It's not just a huge two foot hole in the ground with flat sides.   These tiers also provide the fish and plants varying water depths to forage and grow in.  The design is so natural and the waterfall sounds great.
The lead crew foreman (Seth) was very helpful and informative.  .

We didn't even know they were there.  When they were done for the day (this took 3 days to complete) they made sure the area was as safe as it could be.  They also cleaned up EVERY EVENING.  We were amazed.  And the finished product is better than we could have imagined.  Even our neighbors comment on how wonderful it is.The birds like it too.  it is great sitting outside listing to the water and watching the birds bathe in the stream.

From first contact to completion for the pondless waterfall stream (don't know what else to call it, it's not a true waterfall, but it is fabulous) it was about 3 weeks. we researched this throughly.
The actual start to finish of the work was about two and a half days.  Mostly because it was so darn HOT.
A day or so before work was to begin,  I believe it was a Wed, I received an email stating they were available to begin work ahead of schedule.  We got home from work and we could see the basic pond.  Our excitement grew.
When we arrived home Friday after work and I looked out back and the water feature was flowing.  It sounded and looked great.
Other than the new stream we wouldn't have known anyone was ever there.
The work and workers were professional.  I would recommend The Pond Guy, Omaha for any landscaping job.
