Contract signed 11/7/11 to replace roof. Roof replaced approx 2 weeks later. Contractor paid $5,500 for work. Ceiling still always looked wet during winter months. On Feb 28th it rained. I had rain pouring into my kitchen from the ceiling. Contacted contractor. Came on Feb 29th, got up in attic and on roof. Stated that the flat part of the roof had a gully and that he would be able to fix it. He gave me two options. One was that he could put some kind of tar to fill the gully, the other option was to build up the slope. I told him that I thought the tar would be like putting a Band-Aid on the problem and that I would like it built up for a more permanent fix. He agreed and said he would go get the materials. I told him I would reimburse him for the materials and to save the receipts. He texted me on March 2, stating sorry he was unable to make it but that night for sure. He was a no show. I contacted him on March 6th asking when he thought he would be able to do the roof. He responded that he works 2 jobs during the week and will shoot for this weekend. On March 11 I contacted him asking if he could at least put on a tarp since it was going to rain. No response and no tarp. Contacted him on March 16th asking what his plans were for the roof. He reponded that he would get as far as he could. No show. On March 19th he texted me to tell me he put a tarp on the roof. After a month of no shows or contact, on April 12th I contacted him asking for a date when the roof would be fixed because this has been going on since February 28th. I have had no response from him as of today, April 16th. I am left with a leaking roof.
