Juan and his crew did a outstanding job with the concrete work I had done. He was able to get the job done 3 days early too. I would definitely recommend him for any concrete work.

While it's a very long story, I want to deliver the info without boring. Essentially, we had contracted with a different company back in April. After some travel and a very rainy season, work with Company X commenced just after memorial day. I was very patient, and also had good references for this company, so I watched as the work began.
-ABOUT THE JOB: This was/is not your average job. It was a patio designed by an architect an was very modern, custom walls, firepit, and tricky. The first company looked at it multiple times and repeatedly claimed they were up for the job (the job needed steel forms, but they assured me they could build to support it...after all, they have been in the biz 40 years).
Moving on, and in a nutshell, it was delay after delay, after delay. To top, when they finally poured, the walls ended up bowing, and the concrete mix had too much air in it: It was ripped out two weeks later.

After cutting ties with the first company, I looked around online for another company (Angie's list, google search, even went the craigslist route...Yikes!!!). Juan had a posting that included pictures of similar walls, and I could tell that the job used steel forms. Cautiously, I called him, and he showed up to view the job that day. He viewed the other company's work, and quickly and intelligently showed me why they failed. We agreed to a price for the job, and he showed up the next week when he said he was going to. What's more, is that I got so used to the prior company's delays, that Juan moved amazingly fast with quality. I expected at least 5-7 days for the job....Juan started on a Thursday, worked both Saturday and Sunday, and was done by noon on Sunday. He was very flexible in making small changes as we went. As stated, this was a one of a kind job...and he was able to knock it out of the park in only a few days. Had I not lost money on the last company, I would have tipped him an extra couple hundred dollars.
It is very hard these days to find a medium sized company that does both great/timely work, but also charges fair prices. I would recommend Juan and his work ethic to anyone...and I already have.
