Corey came by from Minot Plumbing & Heating Co. We could see the leaking valve, but it was way beyond my skill set to repair it. He came by (as scheduled) and fixed it. I've hired them before (for the last 8 years). They have fixed 2 toilets, replaced the kitchen sink, replaced a blocked main waste pipe, replaced a water heater, and now replaced this broken valve under the kitchen sink. They are the only people I hire for plumbing jobs. Very professional.

Prompt professional service, pool heater has been working great since repair visit. Ken really know boilers. I have had him over in the past and he does a good job. I recommend this company.

It went great. Service man arrived on time, worked independently, and finished the job in a little over an hour.

They are also one of very few local plumbing companies carrying Bio-Clean eco-friendly drain treatment. A good service provider for your plumbing and heating needs.

The plumber who was sent out was very punctual, and covered his boots with booties to prevent mud from getting on our carpet. The Positive comments end there :) He preceded to the basement where he attempted to use a drain snake to unclog the tub. After about 15 minutes of trying, he informed me he was unable to unclog it and he thought the problem was that the sink drain pipe was too small. We live in a very old house, but most of the plumbing has been redone in the last decade, so I was surprised by his solution. He said he needed to come back when he had more time (he said about a half a day) and tear out all of the galvanized pipes in the wall then replace them with pvc that's 1/4 inch bigger than they currently are. He quoted me $600-$700 for this job!!! Keep in mind, my call was for a clogged drain! That's got to be the simplest plumbing issue ever! He called into the shop and rescheduled a time to come back out the following Monday. After he left, I spoke to my husband (who you can imagine was very upset about this) and we decided to get a second opinion from another local plumbing company we have heard good things about (please see other review:). What's more frustrating is this is the THIRD time they have done this to us. The last time, they insisted the entire main drain line to our house needed to be replaced and it was going to take an entire day and rack up a bill of over $1200!!! Another plumbing company came in and fixed the problem in less than an hour. While I understand the importance of doing things properly (which often costs more), I am convinced that it is Minot Plumbing and Heating's practice to over quote things and do completely unnecessary work to make a grossly high amount of money on their jobs. We all know the economy here in Minot and how many companies are taking advantage of it. To me, it's evident this is one of those companies. I feel like they have no concern for people's hard-earned money. I am so disappointed. AND, despite the fact that the plumber accomplished nothing and actually made matters worse by dropping a screw down the drain (requiring me to purchase a new over-flow cover), I'm sure I will be receiving a bill in the mail soon requesting me to pay for what turned out to be a huge waste of time and a giant inconvenience for our whole family.
UPDATE: The plumber who came out to our house returned (unannounced) today because he thought he left his drill in our son's closet. This time, he did not cover his boots, but took them off inside our house at the door instead. BUT, only after he left muddy boot prints all over the rug at our back door. I don't think the mud will wash out, I will probably just have to replace the rug. SO, this experience has ended up costing us the charge they will send us, the new over-flow cover, and now a new rug for the back door...sigh.

Was very happy with the repairman that came out to perform the work. Very friendly and considerate. After work was conducted, received a bill for double the estimate! When I contacted the billing office and spoke with Heather, she indicated that could not be held accountable for esitmates. Once the work is done, you have no other options but to pay. If I had it to do over again, I would ask for a written estimate.

There was a little more plumbing since the new heaters inlet/outlet were in different positions. Took about 4 1/2 hours.
