. Came first day and dug the hole   next day  broke a hole in my wall did not cut it, which now means I have an 8 inch frame around my window. put the window in and the metal insert.  I told him it should be attached to the wall  and showed him where water could come into window well, he thought it would be fine.  Never the less four days later after a rain the night before I went to my basement  to find 3 inches of dirty rain water.  Ruined my carpeting, granted it was not much but it was mine. I called him and he came over 2 days later dug a deeper hole and put the metal insert below ground level,  he said now the water would not go in the window.  Well guess what the next rain it did I called him he came when I was gone and told my employee," Wonder what she is going to complain about now."  She told him, maybe the water in the basement and he has never been back.  He also said he would build me a cover because there is not on to be found because of the size.
