I have seen 2 of the stylists here, and have had good experiences with both of them. I typically pay roughly $40 for a haircut, or $125 for a haircut and foils (short hair), which I think is comparable or a little less than what I have paid at similar salons in other cities. Minot is considerably smaller and more rural than some of the other places I have lived, so I was pleasantly surprised by how trendy and modern MBS felt. The stylists seem competent, and I haven't seen anyone leave with awful hair.
The stylist I have been to most recently is Megan. She is really good about going slowly and making sure your hair turns out the way you want it to. Usually she will cut my hair a little bit, and then ask for my opinion, then cut a little more etc, which does sometimes make the haircut feel like it takes a really long time. However, it also makes me feel like I'm not being rushed, and I can ask her to keep trimming something that I don't feel 100% about as many times as I need to.
