Kupper Chevrolet
About us
Kupper Chevrolet was originally known as Robert Chase Chevrolet Inc, which opened in 1935. In 1980, Robert Chase retired and sold the dealership to Ivan Gandrud Chevrolet, Inc, at that time, a newly formed corporation out of Grand Forks. Gandrud formerly managed Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks. In 1984, Gandrud sold the dealership to one of his salesman, Dave Ressler. Ressler ran and operated the dealership until late 1998 when he decided to buy a store and move to Bozeman, MT. Ressler then decided to sell the store to now owner, Bob Kupper. Kupper worked his way up from salesman, to finance manager to general manager. Kupper began his buy-in in late 1999 and became sole owner in 2011. The dealership then changed its name March of 2011 to Kupper Chevrolet. In 2002, the Subaru franchised opened and was a natural fit for western North Dakota. Kupper Subaru carries a complete line of new Subaru vehicles, as well as offers a great selection of Subaru Certified Pre-Owned. Around 10 years ago, Kupper Chevrolet (Formerly Ressler Chevrolet) implemented the Best Price Philosophy and joined the Rydell Automotive Group along with 64 other dealerships, nationwide. Kupper Chevrolet-Subaru employs around 160 people through 2 sales departments, 2 service departments, a quick lube, a detail center, a body shop and 2 parts and accessories departments.
