We plugged an appliance into an power strip, sparks flew, and the power and lights went out in several rooms. We called Safeway, and he came 2 days later. He arrived at the time that he said.
The first thing he did was check the breakers, and made sure that everything was good there. It looked like he tightened some of the connections for the individual breakers. Nothing appeared to be wrong there, so he moved into the house. We had one obviously bad outlet, and he replaced that along with repairing the connection to the outlet. There were still problems with the power (I think the polarity of the lines), and he started checking the other outlets in the rooms without power. He found and replaced a damaged outlet. He used tamper-proof outlets, and he then described to my wife and I how they work. We also talked about what might have caused our problems, and how to avoid future problems.

Kevin Nitschke was recommended by a friend. Last summer he checked outlets and wiring in my basement to determine why the breakers were tripping. He replaced a few outlets and gave his recommendations.

The day before Thanksgiving the light fixture in my kitchen quit working (not a fixture from Safeway Electric). Kevin came out the day after Thanksgiving and replaced the defective part. I thought I would have to wait days to get it fixed.
