Malone Construction

Our home was hit by an EF4 tornado June 17, 2010.  We hired Kevin Malone, of Malone Construction to fix the damages. Not only did he give us a poor estimate that did not include his transportation of his heavy equipment, he failed to include the firewall for an attached garage in the bid.  He has received 2/3 of the insurance checks and has not completed 1/3 of the work.  He had his heavy equipment in my yard for over 5 months and sent me a bill after he received the last check that used $2500 of it to move the equipment around for his brother who lives close by.  He has 2 windows at his place of business still, has yet to complete the framing around the outside and inside of the windows he has installed.  Spending a cold Minnesota winter with unframed windows has been unpleasant to say the least.   On many occasions Kevin has promised to bring a crew and do the whole job and never delivered. He showed up 4 times by himself alone to do the work.  On one occasion when  his wife brought the heavy equipment over she promised a crew would be here to put my roof on and we would be all finished by winter.  It has been 10 months since the tornado hit and its been one lame excuse after the other until finally he stopped returning calls.
