I contacted Shane last after reaching out to four other house painters, but only because I didn't know that he would paint house exteriors, too, as long as they are limited to single-story heights. For some reason, I found his contact information on Angie's List only under the Painting-Interior section, not Painting-Exterior, too. I'm sure glad I ultimately looked in both sections before it came time to make a decision because he has approximately 40 years' experience.
Using rollers and brushes, Shane did a fine job of putting on the wood siding two coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration, which is a rather thick paint-primer combination. Because the house is about 60 years old, the previous paint peels and ridges were especially noticeable on the sides of the house that had the maximum exposure to sun, but after scraping, the coats of paint applied by using a thickly-napped roller did nice work in camouflaging those blemishes.
There was very little mess anywhere on the premises, and any splattering was immediately cleaned up.
I was happy to see that Shane was able to re-glaze a couple of windows for me, too; he'll come back in about a month to paint over that glazing.
If you would like a quality painter with competitive rates, I fully recommend Shane Walock. I want to hire him later this fall to paint the inside of the house, which is his specialty.

He was very prompt at returning calls and providing service. The work Shane did was great. His helper left a few drops of paint on the woodwork and carpet. We all did not see them right after the job was done because it was a cloudy day. I am sure Shane would have cleaned them up if he had seen the spots. Overall I was very satisfied.

His price was fair and reasonable. He made helpful suggewtions in the process. He did what he said he would.

Shane was very punctual and we got an estimate right away. He started painting the next day and finished the job very quickly and neatly.

Shane was professional during all of my interactions with him. His price was almost half of other estimates and the quality of work was excellent.
