We had originally planned on having them come out and mow our 5 acre lot, and then decided after talking with Deb Pettit that building a retaining wall with drainage would be a good idea since our house wasn't placed where we wanted it and have drainage problems. We were quoted $1100 for the job. We accepted the bid and they began work at the beginning of April. The finished product was not what we wanted, so we repurposed the company. We had them plant trees. They planted 10 cottonless cottonwood, 5 poplar, 3 apple trees and 2 gooseberry bushes. They didn't use any heavy machinery, they hand dug all the holes for the plants. They did not put berms around the trees (my brother and myself did that The crew and the owner were very helpful, once we got over the little bump with the wall. Be sure to call, don't text, because we had an issue with texts not getting to me or to Deb Pettit (owner) about the job. It is a small local company, though they do work throughout NE WY and into SD. The owner also gave us a 1yr old tree from her own yard, a Chinese Elm, and also sold us a 55 gallon water barrel (added to the total amount we owe). I would use them again for any planting of trees, shrubs, layign sod, etc., but I'm not sure if they are capable of masonry work (retaining walls, etc.) since the wall we ended up with before we decided to plant tree instead, was just that. A wall. A freestanding wall at the top of a hill, and was not going to do what it was intended for.
Description of Work: We had 10 cottonless cottonwood trees, 5 poplars, 3 apple trees and two gooseberry bushes planted. All hand dug holes. Used black dirt and fertilizer to fill the holes.
