I hired Neil Turner to DJ my wedding reception. We met a couple months prior to the event to discuss expectations and the music that should be played. I felt confident that he would do a good job. I was wrong. He had his equipment (a computer and two speakers) set up on time but then he left the venue and called me when he was supposed to start playing and told me he would be there in two minutes. As the night went on, Neil was supposed to play a trivia game with my husband and I and get the crowd involved, this never happened. One hour into the event, Neil was having technical difficulties with a cord and the music would stop and then cut out, start again and then stop. He had no plan B. At one point, people were leaving the room because the music wasn't playing at all. My husband and I had to search the entire building for a different cord that would work. Thankfully we found one or else the night would have been ruined. The following day I sent Neil an email and told him that I wasn't completely satisfied with his services. I still needed to pay him the rest of his fee (I had only paid a deposit up to that point) and I asked him what he thought would be fair. From that point on Neil sent me mean emails, called and text me several times a day and even threatened to come to my house. I told him that I would just pay him the full amount and be done with it. I informed him the check was in the mail. His harassment didn't stop. He continued to call and text me and had other people calling me as well. I never received an apology for the way things happened during my event, just threats and harassment. I would NEVER hire Neil for anything ever again.
