My cat is all better now! They have even scheduled a few follow up exams for her to check her teeth. I take her back here for check ups and routine vaccinations.

We have been going to Animal Health Clinic for at least 6 years for all of our dogs needs. We have a dog that has sever anxiety when going to the vet and especially when it comes to getting her nails trimmed. The first time we went my dog had to be sedated. The Veterinary Technicians did an amazing job working with her over the years and now, while she doesn't enjoy getting her nails trimmed, she is able to get a pedicure without being sedated.
The ladies at the front desk are friendly and helpful. They almost always come over and say hi to the dogs and give them a treat or two.
While I know we could certainly go somewhere else that would be cheaper, I would miss the amazing people and care that Animal Health Clinic provides. I take comfort in knowing that my dogs, which are my children, will be giving the best care possible.

I’ve been going there for 11 years. It’s clean. It’s brand new now. They’re the best people. They know your dog by name. They have five vets there. My primary vet is fantastic. They’re all good though. I have Dr. Tammy Ness. She’s friendly and knows the dog. She tries conservative methods first. She could have had cortisone shots but she wanted me to try this and it’s perfect for her.

The doctors and vets at Animal Health Clinic are all good. They are accessible and they always seem to have open slots when you need them. They tend to be a little on the pricey side but they do good work. I trust them with my pets' health. They are clean, sanitary, and have a good manner with the pets.

I had been taking my 17-year-old cat with hyperthyroidism for 18 months to another local vet, Nick Machtell at Southgate Veterinary Hospital, who treated the cat with medication. After I purchased some of the medication from an internet source while out of state, the cat became ill with acute hyperthyroid symptoms. I told the vet, Nick Machtell, that I suspected the medication was not good. He told me that the best course of treatment would be a ?Senior Health Package? costing $260. The results of all these tests came back mainly normal, except the thyroid blood level (in other words the hyperthyroidism). I realized the battery of expensive tests were completely unnecessary, and the cat only needed the thyroid blood test to start, with perhaps a couple more tests later when the blood levels were stabilized. I had been duped. When I brought my concern to the vet I was invited to go elsewhere! No compensation was offered for the unnecessary tests. I went to Kelly Hause at the Animal Health Clinic and I requested a new thyroid blood level check be done, and I asked her for a second opinion about what tests were necessary. She agreed that another blood thyroid level check should be done. She also suggested an ultrasound ECHO because of a fast heart-rate and indicators from the EKG done at the other vet's (the fast heart rate then stabilized within a week). I asked Ms. Hause how much an ultrasound ECHO would cost. She said she would send me an estimate. Several days later I received an estimate of $379.31. I took the Southgate Veterinary Hospital to small claims court and asked Ms. Hause to write a note saying what tests she had advised, what tests she did not advise, and why. She sent me a letter a week later in the mail outlining a whole assortment of issues covered that I had not requested be covered, although strangely she did not state what tests she had advised, had not advised, and why, which was the only thing I requested! She simply referred vaguely to having advised what tests done at the other vet were proper. The letter was written apparently to be exculpatory evidence for Southgate Veterinary Hospital. She added untruths, such as that I had refused the ultrasound ECHO. I called her and asked why she left out the information I requested, but included inaccurate statements. She insisted I wanted her to assess the other vet's services. I explained once again that I only wanted her to detail what she had recommended and why. She said she would not change the letter. I let her speak for another minute or so and at the end she hung up without letting me respond! I went to small claims court the next day and Mr. Machtell pulled out a copy of the letter that Ms. Hause wrote for me, and said Ms. Hause had been ?nice? enough to offer it to him! Yet, this letter was part of my file! I never gave Ms. Hause permission to share my file with any other third party. She deliberately interfered with my contract dispute with that vet in an attempt to protect him from having to refund me for unnecessary tests that were in violation of my contract with him to treat the cat for hyperthyroid acute symptoms. I lost the small claims case. Ms. Hause's letter also indicated that she did not in fact give me a second opinion as I had requested, rather she had in part based her findings on the other vet's records and the results of his tests ? therefore defeating my purpose of getting a second opinion!
