Awful, the poor contractor that works for us next time will have me breathing down their neck hourly.
Description of Work: At the end of 8 months he then wanted approx. 100k over bid price, walked away and put a lien on house (even though we paid 70k of that amount, just wanted the rest of the work done before paying him off). It came off as a shakedown. House has sat with much of the finish work undone for a year. We paid for all flooring, the light fixtures, appliances, faucets out of our pocket, so these weren't part of the price. His plumber was awful, with leaks all over, never remedied. The cabinet company never finished their job. He won't say "boo" to a sub and just goes with whatever slop work they do. He would just decide what to do and what finishes on his own, this was a custom, stick-build home.

Yet to be settled or that work has been completed.
Description of Work: Prices changed at the end. As a general contractor he didn't have the balls to stand up to subcontractors that where not doing their job correctly or where changing their prices after the work had been done. Walked away from job and then demanded that he be paid in full to return, because he was upset that we had to move in after 10 months, we had given him 9 months to complete job. We think that part of the reason that he walked away, was that it makes it easier on his part, to not complete and finish things. Quality of finish work is very poor. Does not pay attention to detail, and makes mistakes and knowingly ignores them hoping that you won't notice. Have requested various items be redone or fixed, some have been done okay, some not so good, other items ignored. Was not always honest with us. Threatens with "liens' throughout the project.

Good contractor though not too strong on fine finish work. Is reliable and responsive though the work went on longer than estimated. some of that was due to the difficulty putting in the plumbing but some was due to so much overlap of working with other customers. It is extremely difficult in our area to find reliable contractors that will do remodeling work. I would work with them again. Be prepared, for the project ot take longer than quoted and for some price increase. This went $1500 over estimate but he agreed to work with me on a payment plan for the balance.
Description of Work: Put in a new bathroom in basement with shower, toliet and sink. This price includes the labor and materials of electrician, plumber and sheetrock/framing.
