Casselton Veterinary Services

.The services provided by Casselton Vet Clinic are wonderful.  They have training in rehab therapy for dogs.  The services include stretching exercises, electro shock therapy and hydrotherapy.  I believe our little senior dog's mobility was greatly improved by the therapy received at this clinic.

They do great work. I have been going to them for at least 20 years. I would definitely recommend them.

When I called initially I was given a 2pm appointment with the urgent care doctor. After describing my dog's symptoms, I was asked to come in asap, and despite being told there might be a wait since we were being squeezed it, the vet came in right away and examined my dog. A few test were run, which he went over with me in detail. He then asked to keep my dog overnight "just in case." While I hate being parted from my 'baby', I am glad she is there and getting good care and monitoring. I am very pleased with the emergency service today, even if I had to drive out of Fargo to get it!

I was referred to this clinic by the pup's breeder, as many of the staff have Great Danes as pets themselves. I felt this would give the staff a better understanding of how to treat the giant breed. The spay went well, and they reminded me some of her shots were due at the same time, as well. While that added to the price, I agreed. Overall the staff is nice and competent, although in the preoperative paperwork I refused the EKG (the pup was only 6 1/2 months old) but it got done anyway. While the cost of the EKG is minimal compared to the overall cost, it was unnecessary and done despite my wishes. My experience thus far has been okay. Compared to the vet I left behind in Minneapolis/St. Paul, who was exceptional (the staff all recognized my dog as well as me, and the vet didn't have to look at the file to remember what was going on with her), this clinic is just so-so.
