This is where my frustration with Nate and Regal begins.  Nate first contacted me fall of 2014. He stated he had heard of my problems with his foreman BJ and wanted to make right by me and stand behind BJ's work. He admitted to me that BJ and his crew got in over their heads installing Hardie Plank siding.  At first I found this admirable and told Nate that I appreciated that and looked forward to working with him to resolve the issue. He looked at our siding and agreed that it was improper installation causing the siding to loosen and blow off.  Nate said he would get back to me soon with a schedule to get started.  After several calls back to Nate over the next several months asking when he was going to get to me, I could tell I was getting the "Royal Brush Off". Nothing but excuses.  Due to the fact that contractors wanting to clean up other's messes are hard to find, I kept trying to work with Nate.  At first I offered to pay for damaged siding and at the end I offered to cover up to $4,500 in siding and labor.  I still could not get Nate to call me back.

I am a business person myself and provide customer service on a daily basis. Truthfully, I can't believe these guys are still in business.  I realize this didn't start out to be Regal's problem, but Nate chose to get involved and then never followed thru.  Making promises you don't intend to honor won't keep you in business for long. 

I would like to warn everyone to read all of Regal's reviews carefully ... this is not the first that states what I am saying.  Nate is terrible about promising and then not delivering.  As of today, I guess I give up on BJ, Nate and Regal.  I have given them over a year to correct the problem and follow thru with what Nate promised me "to make right".  I have been more than fair in what I offered to do and so now I leave this review and hope others enter business dealing with Regal with both eyes open. Should Nate happen to read this and still want to make this right well then I guess he knows where he can find me. If that happens I will post that as well.

BJ and his crew showed up as planned and was on the job at 07:30 sharp every morning until the job was complete. It couldn't have gone better. The entire crew are local guys living right here in the Bismarck/Mandan area. They care about our desires as to design and they care about our property. They even laid down plywood when they had to drive on our grass. I truley didn't think quality contractors like Regal Home Solutions existed any more. Prior to hiring Regal, I talked to a neighbor and asked "would you hire them again". They answered, YES. I am very happy that I hired them as well. When Jason and his siding/windows crew finish, I will write a review on that phase of the job too. So far it looks like I will be very happy when they finish the seamless steel siding on both structurs and fininsh with installing 17 new windows. You can't go wrong with Regal Home Solutions.

Came up with a solution and design for a pre-existing problem that was due to a design flaw by a different (the original) homebuilder.  Crew worked hard and steadily - professional and efficient.  Paid attention to detail which was greatly appreciated.  With all the construction and high demand for this kind of work in our area, it was terrific to be able to get it done and with an excellent result. Very pleased with the outcome.

Elated with the look and functionality.  The size is ample and  we have had many people drive by and stop to look at the deck or comment on how unique and attractive it is.  The builders were respectful, courteous and good about cleaning up after construction.  We appreciated the collaborative effort on designing a deck that met our needs.  Weather presented challenges at times but the employees stuck it out and worked at times when I would not have expected them to.  Good communication and most important, high-quality work.  We love our new deck!

I had 3 things I needed done. I already had lined up someone who would install a new deck on my home and replace a patio door, but they couldn't install a roof over part of my deck. That's where Regal Homes came in. Nate met with me about the roof project and offered to work with the deck builder to incorporate the footings, etc into the deck that was being built. Numerous times Nate was going to get me the bid or meet with his builder to discuss my particular building needs. Since things have gotten so delayed I have now lost my builder for the deck. Regal Home's was going to do the footings right away so then the guy could build the deck around them. They would come back later and then do the roof part of this project. Even after that I talked to Nate about them doing the whole project now which he was open to. I had read Regal Home's good review on Angie's list regarding quality of work and Nate promoted his builder's quality of workmanship. While they "may" do quality work, it doesn't matter if the guy upfront doesn't do a good job in following through on deadlines and things that have been discussed with the homeowner. There was one point in our discussion also where there was resistance for doing the roof the way I wanted. I've called Nate numerous times and he has not returned my phone calls. At one point I called another estimator with the company and he was not happy that Nate was getting back to me. They obviously have some things to work out in their company if they want to have a good reputation. I'm frustrated and now left without a deck on my home going into the winter.I also lost the builder of my deck because of this situation. As I was in the flood of 2011, I have many more projects that need to be done, and I was hopeful that Regal could have helped me with other ones as well. I'm still hopeful there has to be some businesses out there that follow through on what they say, do good quality workmanship and are respectful enough to communicate with you. Extremely poor communication skills with this company.

very satisifed with the workmanship - hard workers. We are having this company put on a deck for us later this summer because we are pleased with the work.
