Hardwood Flooring Service
The owner/operator of Diamond Hardwood Flooring of Mapleton, ND was contracted in May of 2012 to install 5/16" tigerwood hardwood flooring in our home. He was inconsistent about showing up for work when promised and was evasive about his reasons. The floor was completed the end of May and shortly after the floor started squeaking. He was called back to topnail the flooring in the squeaking areas. By November, the entire floor was squeaking when walked on and a certified flooring inspector was called in for inspection. He determined that broken and split tongues were causing the squeaking and this was due to improper installation. Installer was unresponsive when contacted by phone call, emails and a certified letter when confronted with the problem. He refused to take responsibility for the improper installation. The entire floor needs to be removed and replaced at owner's expense. Be wary of dealing with this vendor for wood flooring installation unless you want to pay for it twice.
