Home Inspection
Inspector missed many large details on the home inspeciton that ended up costing us $1000's of dollars after the close of the sale.
In particular, he missed a very damaged door leading out to the patio area. It was extremely weather damaged.
We did not note this in our offer for the house because we were not advised of it by the inspector. It began to leak after closing during a large storm.
We asked him to come back on site to look at what he had missed. He was extremley unprofessional and kept asking what why we would want him to hold some responsibility in this error. He kept saying, I'm only human. I told him, I understand that, but you, as a human, made an error and you need to remedy that error.
He finaly relented to refund the cost of the inspection. He was a bonded contractor. We should have gone after his bond for the job, but we took the refund and promised ourselves never to use him again.
