Blaze acquired Comfort Master, the company that originally installed my HVAC unit 8 years ago. So, I hired them for an annual inspection. They told me the heat exchange unit was cracked and needed to be replaced. The part was still under warranty. They quoted me a price of $2,600 for the labor. I asked how long the job would take and the tech said 3-5 hours. That is $650/hour! I told them I would get someone else to look at it. I then said I needed a thermostat installed and I had the item. They quoted me $500 for a 15 minute job to hook it up. These prices were absolutely crazy to me. The second company I brought in agreed the heat exchanger was cracked and said it was probably due to improper installation. Before he left, the tech told me about a plan for $349/year for an annual inspection of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. I agreed to buy that, as that was a good deal versus what you would normally pay for all 3 separately. A few weeks later they sent a tech over for the electrical inspection. I started getting concerned after he told me 4 times how frugal he was personally. I was right. He gave me a list of things that needed fixing totaling over $10,000. I then contacted my regular electrician and gave him the list. He recommended only 2 items on it costing under $500. Be very wary of Blaze, they gouge and do unnecessary work.

Derrick and Rob did it again! We had a small electrical fire in our breaker box. They came out and replaced it like it was nothing. The jobsite was clean throughout the whole process and the final product look great! I purchased a new high-end Trane AC and gas furnace system for $12K in August of 2021 with ComfortMaster doing the installation. In July of 2023, less than two year later, the outside coil failed because two parts were too close together causing it to melt a hole in the coil. All of the coolant leaked out. Because it is more than a year, Trane will only cover the part, and I am left with an almost $2500 bill for labor and coolant. Trane offer to cover 10% of the cost. ComfortMaster basically said I could care less about installing a crap system, and required full payment. A 23 month old system that fails should be on the manufacturer or dealer to fix and not the homeowner.

I have owned four units installed by this company; all of which were manufactured by Trane. Two of which had to be replaced for early failure. Now a third has broken down after less than 5 years, well within the 10 year parts warranty. Despite the parts being covered the repair cost was still thousands of dollars. After researching others experiences and information about this model online I discovered other problems and concerns and found some of them to be present with my unit as well. I was worried about paying for this repair only to have another part breakdown. I asked Comfort Master if it might be better to replace the whole unit. According to Trane’s own website calculator (cost of repairs multiplied by the age in years of the unit) I should be replacing the unit based on the main issue alone. I was told by Comfort Master that they were unable to address these concerns and to contact Trane directly. When I contacted Trane, customer service started a claim and told me to get a “diagnosis for a new unit” from my service provider. This is where the problems really started. Comfort Master claimed they did not know what this was and that it was not needed. After a number of emails trying to clarify they told me that they had contacted Trane who told them that this was not needed. When I called Trane they would tell me the same information, a diagnosis of new unit, was needed. The Comfort Master employee went so far as to claim I might not have called the correct place asking who I spoke with on these calls. I kept records of each call and eventually it was agreed that I needed an assessment of the current unit to verify its condition. The previous service record having almost no info about the condition of the unit, I asked about getting another. I was told that they would not do so since the current problem had to be fixed first. So I have to spend the money to fix the problem in order to find out if the unit is any good to keep. After many years of as a customer and many promises of providing the best customer focused service and conviction that “you can’t stop a Trane” I am done with both companies. Fool me once, twice, and I guess three times the charm.

Not good. He never fixed my heater. But the worst part your company did not care. I advise that no one use your company. The guy was not what I would call professional. I bet you are still using him. I cannot wait for the class action law suit. I will be on board.

Comfort Master installed a new AC and Furnace in our previous home. When our AC died in our new home, we had got a quote from Comfort Master and from other firms. Although they were not the lowest quote, they were the company that gave a thorough explanation as to why our barely 10 yo Trane unit died, and why our heating and air in the top two floors in our house were so unevenly delivered and what they could do to fix it. Five full work days later, the work is done, our house is zoned, and the difference is amazing. These folks are ethical, honest, hard working and responsive.

While a bit more expensive than others the old adage of you get what you pay for rings true with Comfort. They were very technical and thorough sizing the units and with recommendations of investment versus return. Installation was like observing a sophisticated military drill or motor sports pit stop. Communication during the process and post was excellent and all promises were kept or exceeded. If you need a quote and input ask for Evert.

I have used Comfort Master for a number of years for HVAC service. On this occasion, I replaced a 17 year old heat pump with a Heat Pump-Natural Gas Dual Fuel system. Mike was the sales rep. I worked with to come up with a solution. He was courteous, professional and responsive and followed up with a home visit after the installation. He and Fay, the company VP, ensured my questions and concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. Ismael and Na installed the system which was completed as scheduled. The entire process went smoothly. I do feel this company, as a whole, has a customer-focused philosophy which is why I continue to use then.

Beyond expectations, excellent job. Teo was very professional and very detail oriented. He did not install and drive off, but spent time to see that the furnace and the air conditioner was operational to our satisfaction. He even checked all our other appliances to see that were operational, since he had cut off the gas. We have been with Comfort Master Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. for the last 15 years and have been extremely satisfied with their annual service. Their technicians and installers are highly professional and detail oriented. Excellent job Teo. Keep up the good work.

I had several estimates done. The sales rep for comfort master was the only one that did an actual load calculation. He also spent a good deal of time asking me about the functionality of the old system and what I wanted from the new one. As a result he was the only one that specified the proper sizing for the new system. The installer worked until 10PM the day of the install to get it done that night. The system has been in place for about 2 months now, and overall I am very satifsied. Would definitely hire again

I used them in 2015 to replace both AC and furnace in my downstairs unit. Had to call them out agin as the blower in the furnace of the upstairs unit went out. I called Monday morning and the technician was out that afternoon assessing the situation. The furnace upstairs needed to be replaced. The sales person came out Tuesday morning giving us options and pricing. We signed a contract Tuesday afternoon and the unit will be replaced on Thursday. I appreciate the quick turn around and their professionalism. Hence the reason, I went back to them for the 2nd unit.

If I owned any kind of business, I'd want these guys working for me. Very impressed with their consultant Mike La Francois who inspected our old system and took photos and physical dimensions to confirm right capacity of the units.

I was very pleased with the job CM did providing and installing our new HVAC system, from meeting w/ Mike L for the initial consultation and quote, through my time deciding which contractor to select, all the way through final installation and inspection. The installation crew (Jorge G, Teo A., Jun and one other person whose name, unfortunately, I cannot remember; sorry!) was professional and courteous and left the house after the installation like they found it. All the CM staff were patient with my numerous questions. I would definitely recommend CM for any new HVAC system or service.
