The crew came promptly (calling when they were running a little late beforehand) and did a very thorough job. They were professional and friendly and cleaned up after the work, so that there was little evidence that they had been here...except of course for the results. It took them about 4 hours altogether. I can really tell a difference in the quality of the air circulating in my home. I did not get the usual allergic reaction I used to get whenever I began the heating season. I would certainly recommend this company. The cost was higher than other estimates I had gotten, but the other companies did not have certifed technicians. I think this is a case where you get what you pay for and it does cost more to do it right.
I was unable to find the name of a recommended company from my neighbors or workmates. I didn't even know what was involved in getting the vents cleaned. I just knew when I took the vent covers off to replace the filters I could see dust and dirt in the vents. So, I did an internet search and found Carolina Air Quality.
I was hesitant about going with someone that had not been recommended to me by someone I knew. However, after speaking with Perry, the company owner, who explained in detail from start to finish what was involved, I said we would think about it. I was a little shocked by the price he quoted me.
Well we knew it needed to be done. He sounded like he had a good knowledge of the business and was an honest business man. I also know from the past that if you want a good job, done well, the person with the experience and the right tools may save you money in the end.
We agreed on a date and they provided excellent, friendly service. Well worth the price! They had all the right equipment, which allowed them to get in and out in a timely matter. It was actually Perry's son, Jeff and two other workers, Angela and Brian that came and did the job.
They called to let me know they would be a few minutes late, (we are way out in the country). They were courteous, cheerful and very conscious that everything was put back the way they found it. They allowed me to photograph their work. My only regret is that we did not get before pictures of my dirty vents. They were pretty bad!
I highly recommend Carolina Quality Air, and will definitely use their services again.
