Our real estate agent who we like and trusted recommended this company. We called them the day we moved in. About a week later someone came to estimate the cost. They told us they would get back to us with an estimate. One month later they had not gotten back to us. I called them several times again. Finally after quite a few calls and 2 months later, someone came to our house. They replaced the box outside and told us that they would do some things inside after the inspection was done outside. An inspection was done outside, Duke power came. But no one called us back. A bill arrived in the mail for about 1500$, but we waited to pay it (but we have had the bill less than 2 weeks) because we were waiting for the person to come back as they told us they would. I finally after two weeks called to speak with them. They told me to pay the bill and then they would do the "second part of the job"We never received a written estimate . When i asked - before the work was done - for a breakdown of the cost I was told over the phone "it is bundled together"We were not clear that there was a "part 1" and "part 2". When i called back, a few days before the work was done to say that I could not plug in my kettle and toaster at the same time, I was told this would be fixed with the work that would be done. Bu it is not fixed. The person who actually visted the house said that he would put a GFI circuit at the beginning of each of the existing circuits and that this would protect those down the line. But this has not been done . Apparently this is "part 2" of the job. We were not told that we should pay fo rth outside work and then someone would come by and give an estimate on how much it would cost to do the inside part. We are not electricians. We just want out house to be safe and not blow fuses with he kettle and the toaster. When i called to chck the status of the work , Rudy told me "I am hanging up the phone" and hung up. They will not give an estimate even for the "part 2" until I pay part 1. We will pay for the work done but want a different electrician. Three months later and 1500$ we still cannot toast and boil at the same time. Our experience has been terrible. The communication between this company and the customer is terrible.
Description of Work: I hired them to upgrade the electrical service to my house, which we bought July 1, 2011. The house was built in the 1950s and it was 60 amp service. We did not know exactly what that meant ..in the sense that we did not know what needed to be done to modernize the electrical service to the house. There were eight old circuits - none grounded. We assumed that these would be fixed" in some way. The electrician never gave us a detailed description of what he would do and what it included. The person who came to house told us that putting gfi outlets at the beginning of each circuit and putting the fridge on a separate circuit would be done. Without this we don 't see how the upgraded electrical to the house actually helps us.
