Our non-existent front yard is now a verdant landscape, thanks to Dan and his crew. They added a low-profile stacked stone wall to mimic one on the other side of our yard. They conditioned the soil and expertly laid sod. Importantly, they took their time to find the healthiest and most appropriate materials, giving us great advice on upkeep.. Excellent communication and personable; unmatched quality and value. Highly recommend!

The folks at Salem Landscaping did an awesome job of creating a river rock dry bed for me as an additional feature in my yard. Communication via email was quick as we discussed the project requirements including rock types, size and color. When installation day came around they were on time, ready with the correct equipment and knocked the job out quickly. They were very pleasant talking to in person and had no problems with pets.

I enjoyed talking about my project with Dan Ebert. He is very knowledgeable and worked to give me exactly what I wanted. When they worked on my yard, they were very quiet and attentive to my home and yard. I would gladly use them for any future projects. I recommend Salem Landscaping very much!

Dan and his family were a true pleasure to work with. When I requested the landscaping project Dan was the first to respond and came out very quickly to review my front and back yard. He came up with an excellent plan right on the spot that blew me away. The work was done to the plan and looks absolutely beautiful. His son in-law even rescued a baby bird in my front yard that finally decided to leave its nest that was in my front porch post. I also had a french drain installed and Dan made it a point to come back out later to seed and lay straw. At that time he gave me excellent advice on other things I could do with my yard. I learned so much from him during this project. I have already referred his services to two other family members living in the area. Thank you Dan and family!!!

Dan was a real sweet heart. He came out when he said he would and this was so unusual. others I contacted said they would love to come out but never showed and most never even called back. My yard looks great and I am so glad for all his knowledge about plants. I would hire him back in a heart beat. So glade we got to know him.

He is knowledgeable and his crew did a fast, professional job. His price was fair and I will be hiring him again.

The work was done as was proposed. The walls that were built are attractive. In the places that were dug out to put in new drainage, they reseeded and covered with straw.

I explained to Dan, what I wanted. He knew what to suggest. I really liked that, he knew what I wanted, and did not try to turned me another direction. My flower garden looks amazing. Neighbors already asking me questions. Eat your heart out, lol

I sought out five companies for designs and bids on my residential landscaping project. Dan Ebert of Salem Landscaping responded first and was the only one to offer a full design at no cost. During the initial interview, he listened carefully, offered sound recommendations and demonstrated substantial knowledge of horticultural botany. His estimate was competitive, he was patient in making adjustments and awaiting our decision and he was reliable in answering our telephonic and text communications. Finally, he performed the work in a reasonable amount of time, to a sound degree of quality and with minimal intrusion to our household. He guaranteed his work. It would be difficult to find a more reliable person with whom to do business.

This was a very disappointing experience. It was conveyed as a project of crisp, clean beach like appeal. Not knowing the names of plants, pictures were sent indicting the desired tropical look. 50% deposit was given up front with an additional $1500 within the next week due to expansion of sand area. The quality of materials was substandard with river rock containing mud and other debris. They were asked to either take the rock up or clean the rocks for a more vibrant look. After cleaning the rocks, they attempted to charge me and additional $940 which should have been cleaned to begin with. They were going to lay Teco Bloc pavers and indicated they had read the specifications. Unfortunately they only prepared the ground and never actually set the pavers. The ground was not set with the correct product, causing the work to be completed by a more experienced landscaper. The plants installed looked nicely, however they left the remaining dirt piles throughout my yard, without cleaning them up or smoothing it out. They came to work if at all around 9:30 and left at 11:30 for lunch. They arrived back but left again no later than 2:15. The weather during this time was very cold with rain and snow. A drain line was inserted to divert the water away from the sidewalk and prevent puddling in unwonted areas. However, the line was at a lower point on one end and dug higher in the middle with not enough depth to travel back down at a slope. This, as well, was performed incorrectly, costing additional money for someone else to replace what was performed incorrectly. The drain line was built actually to exit where the water flow would remain stagnate. There were to be 2500 square feet of sod to be placed, and this was never completed. The owner asked again for another draw which would have left only $2000 more as a balance for the final project. I explained the amount of money dispensed was well beyond the scope of work completed. He walked away from my project and agreed to reimburse me $1500 of what he had been paid. This was before it was realized the other work completed was done improperly and additional cost to me as a homeowner would be caused due to the faulty workmanship. When asked when it would be received, I was told he could not tell me. Yet they asked for their money upfront and it was given. I was told: **I may not be a good businessman, but I am an honest businessman** This is very disheartening as now I have to not only pay someone else to clean up what was done incorrectly, I am forced to leave a very negative review due to the fact the business owner did not keep his word. Had the job been completed accurately and the owners word been reputable as indicated, I would not be placed in this position. This places a very questionable reflection on Home Advisor and their quality procedures to place reputable and competent business owners as recommendations. If you would like substandard work at high value prices... then this would be the company to select.

I had a picture in my mind of how the walkway would look when complete but it turned out much better than I imagined. The colors of the stone and the shape are perfect. Very easy people to work with.. I would definitely use them again.

We had water coming into the living room. The owner saw the problem, corrected the landscaping and thereby corrected the problem.

Mr. Ebert is a very knowledgable landscaper with years of experience. I relied on his knowledge and expertise for helping plan a Camellia hedge and foundation plantings for the front of our house. In addition, the project was completed in a timely and professional manner. Reasonable, knowledgeable, prompt, easy to work with, and professional. I would highly recommend Salem Landscaping.

I wanted to add some plants to the.front of the house. I had a few low spots in the front yard. They came I. And made a very nice boarder with rock put in mulch and my plants. Sprayed for weeds and it looks great I would recommend them
