RNS Lock & Key Service

I have used Richard Smith on 2 prior occasions before the date listed in this review and each time he was completely professional, friendly, and able to solve my lock problems thoroughly and completely. I rejoined Angie's List just so that I could post this review after watching ABC's The Lookout last Wednesday night, 6/5/2012! The majority of the show was about how unsuspecting folks are scammed by calling a locksmith out of the phone book in an emergency situation and getting connected to a complete shakedown artist and then be scammed! Great show and it was a huge eyeopener as well. So I decided I would give my good neighbors in the Triad Area the option of a very honest local locksmith that is registered with NC License #0171 and he is also Bonded. The show stated NOT to wait to find a Locksmith until you are in a panic situation and needing one. The show also stated that you did not want to be blind sighted by a scam artist listed in the phone book that would also over charge you from the prior agreed to service call charge quoted over the phone. I made the mistake of giving my house key to someone I thought was trustworthy who turned out not to be! Therefore I had to change all my locks last August. Period. I called my regular locksmith who was ok, but he was recovering from surgery and he referred me to RNS Lock and Key Service. I called and Richard answered and we set up a time. He arrived on time and proceeded to fix all my locks. As I said he is thorough, reliable, honest and you definitely need honest if someone is dealing with your keys to anything you own, friendly, personable, and kind. Richard N. Smith is a man of his word and his word is his bond. You don't get any better than that in dealing with another person.
