My current cat is one which they rescued and I later adopted. I have nothing negative to share, they are very compassionate and caring people. I feel fortunate to have a Vet that I can trust. Of the current Vets there, I have the most experience with Dr. Gates and Dr. Sparks. They have dealt with my dogs and cats in health, and in passing, and are two of the most caring professionals that one could hope to deal with.
I recommend this Veterinary practice with no reservations.
"Oldtown Veterinary Hospital strives for excellence in all aspects of our practice. In response to your feedback we have changed our dispensing procedures to prevent this from happening again. We apologize for our mistake and any inconvenience we caused, and will refund you the cost of the heartworm medication. The health and welfare of our patients is extremely important to us and we hope you will continue to trust Oldtown Veterinary Hospital with your pet’s care."
I was so impressed by their care that I brought in my dogs. Same thing. I saw almost every single vet that works here and every one of them took a lot of time to talk with me about any concerns I had. And they loved on my pets! I really feel they go out of their way to make their clients feel respected and to show how much they care about the animals. And they are very reasonably priced!
I am getting ready to move out of state, and I am just sorry that I only discovered this vet within the last six months of my time in Winston. I hope I am lucky enough to find a practice of this caliber in my new city.
The only reason I did not give them A's across the board is because there were 2 times when I had to wait several hours for a return phone call. Once on the phone all of my questions were quickly answered.
Oldtown is the place we will now go for general care and probably boarding, too.
I was very impressed
Molly need sedation and shaving - again no problem.
Doctor had to stay late on a Saturday to make sure she was okay to go home - SO NOT A PROBLEM.
They rates were extremely reasonable considering the crap they had to do... repeatedly.
The doctor called several times to check on Dufus - Doctors do that? Personally? WOW
These are our vets for life. We will go no where else again.
We also have used them for boarding and our dog loves them. They are very affectionate with her and she is eager to get out of the car when she sees where she is. She's a pit bull (and sweet as can be) and that scares some people but these folks just throw open their arms and love on her which she adores.
