LOWE'S

Badly -- they damaged the railing to the front steps to my house, rendering them unsafe, and still haven't done anything about it 3 months later. Despite telling the store that I had steep steps up to my house, they only sent a 2 man crew and the refrigerator apparently got away from them while bringing it into the house. I heard some swearing and banging, and discovered the next day they had dangerously broken loose the corner upright for the railing, and part of the railing from a landing (if someone leaned on it, they would end up up the concrete drive) in addition to gouging the railing up the steps. And they didn't SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I've been talking to various managers at the story trying to get someone out to take a look at it, and fix it. I've sent them photos and been promised someone would check it out. Wednesday was the last straw. The person who was assigned to take care of it was "no longer here." After leaving a message for another manager I had talked to, I called back 3 hours later when I didn't hear from him, and asked for him, identifying myself. After being left on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back and was told "he's with a customer." I replied, "what about the customer who's already bought an expensive refrigerator from you and has a problem?" The operator couldn't (or wouldn't) give me the name of the regional manager or a complaint number for corporate. I've filed a claim with my homeowners insurance (which I probably should have done immediately) and I will never step in this store nor do business with them ever again. I'm also reassessing where I do business for my home improvement projects.

It can sometimes be intimidating for an older lady to walk into a lumber area in a large store. I needed to pick up some heavy lumber, i was having trouble finding good pieces of lumber without imperfections. One young man told me to look at the 2x4's while they used the lift to pick out the best 2X6's. What impressed me the most was instead of bringing out what was left on the floor, they brought out a brand new pallet. They did this very quickly as well. They brought out several pieces off the new pallet and asked how each looked until i found what i needed.They loaded it onto the cart for me and arranged it. I was in a hurry and they made this trip very easy for me.
